Hey John, you don't need to cut the sides down. just put some nails through the boards a bit closer to the edges and run the LED strips around those, still facing outward.

Wondering the same, I fucked my neck in my early 20s working as a solo pressure washer every night for about 3 years. I would be looking down for 10 hours a night and I started popping my neck excessively. But it's gotten better, some days are worse than others. But because of that I've been really curious what happened to John's neck but it seems pretty secretive for some reason lol. But maybe he just doesnt want sympathy and would rather focus on the music etc.
Same. Can't find anything about it online. Guess he's secretive about it.
Edit: saw another video of his from a month ago where he comments on his injury. Apparently he hurt his neck back in 2015, and can't find any medical solutions. Doesn't hurt, but he can't move his neck.
Guess a Chiropractor could help but I’m not sure
I feel a bit bad for John. He always seems to have a lot of medical stuff going on. He deserves better.

Class room! Suggestion on the back wood feature wall as I don't want you to cut it down, why don't you just run LEDs against the back of the parts that stick out? That way it'll go right to the edge and also keep the shape
You could add diffuser strips for the LEDs on the side so it spreads more on the wall behind the paneling . Amazing setup John, congratulations.
The key feature of a good video production that you need now, is a huge softbox to kill those hard shadows! And a 4K camera)
I film everything in 4K but there’s no point in 4K footage yet

Hey John! Jw how you routed the LEDs on your shelves? I am getting the same IKEA shelf just in single form but I see you have the LED wires going to both outside end of the shelves? I'm jw how you were able to route the LEDs for each shelf. Multiple power adapters? Daisy chained possibly? How'd you cover the lights if daisy chained?
I'm trying to do the same thing basically. Looks really nice and clean!

It’s an 9900k with 32gb ram, ASU’s board with thunderbolt 3! However, I just picked up a MacBook Pro 16”...

What does one recommend for use of power distribution for amps? I've always just swapped what amp is plugged into my outlet but I'm really tired of it, and I feel very iffy about plugging in a V2, Savage, Tourmaster, vintage Musicman, and tons of rack preamps and power amps into a single furman :|
The furman is still probably safer than most venues electrical sockets!

First of all, congrats on new studio! Secondly, is it safe to run PC on load in closed rack? Due to law of energy conservation, temperature of limited air volume should increase with time, that's why ventilation is so important in closed spaces with heat excess

@@Francob78 water does not change it's temperature? :D there's such thing as crisis of boiling. It's when the surfaces of heat gets destroyed because water turns into a steam and looses it's ability to effectively transfer the heat
You're not really gonna find a suitable analog brickwall limter. Brickwall Limiters were born in the digital domain so ultimately, your last stop in the mastering chain will need to be a brickwall limiter plugin like the FabFilter. Cheers!

How do you find the T5V's? i have the same but have never had anything higher quality so wonder how they compare?
I sold my A77x's to buy S3H's but really needed a laptop so I got these just for now to pass the time where I don't have the bigger speakers. They sound pretty good!

Love the shelves they look sick! I'm glad you were able to get some metal ones. Wood, especially Ikea wood lol just doesnt cut it for expensive amps. Those big dick riffs would destroy some fiber board Ikea shelves. But the metal ones were actually made specifically for being big dick riff resistant.....It days so on the box I believe. The lights are sick also but who knows if they're big dick riff resistant.
