In this video I photograph a bride and groom indoors for 10 minutes in a timed challenge! All the photographs in this video were taken in the same room in natural light.
For this portrait shoot I used two cameras, a Sony A9 and a Sony A9II and used 3 lenses; the Sony 35mm f1.8, Sony 85mm f1.8 and the Sony 16-35mm f2.8.
A massive thank you to my friends Demi and James for modelling for me - they were amazing as always:

Finally, a huge thank you to Helen Williams and Mick Roberts for filming this video and to Keri Lovell for time keeping!

These are awesome! Good to know I'm not the only one who runs around babbling out a bunch of different ideas and changing my mind constantly during shoots! 😅
Thank you so much Maria - and yes, that is me!
so many shots in just 10 mins ! great work brilliant use of the telly and I really loved the shot of demi with James blurred and fixing his tie.
Thank you very much Pat! 😊
I like these videos so much because as I’m watching the BTS I’m thinking , this is not gonna work !! How’s this gonna work ? And then you do the raw and edit reveal , and I’m …… well I don’t know anything haha
Hi Neil, Off topic here. I just got a multi-coloured light stick, so I was looking at your RUclips video on light painting. And as you're a wedding photographer, it gave me an idea that I'd like to run by you.
At a wedding reception, for a dance much later in the evening, have the deejay announce to all the guests to get their cell phones out, form a circle and use their torch/flashlight to 'paint' a circle on the floor around the bride/groom while dancing. In a wide shot, use a puff of directed flash on the b/g, and drag the shutter to get the torch trails. (no torches on the b/g because it might +++exp)
It might be a fun thing in getting everyone involved with some interesting results.
Just wondering out loud. Cheers. Braden

Awesome video neil! Question on why you switched to silent shutter for this shoot?
Thank you very much James! Good question - it is just so that it doesn't become annoying when I am recording my audio. The mic was attached to my t-shirt so the shutter clicks could have been distracting
@@NeilRedfern totally makes sense! Thanks heaps! I love your work, the creativity shoots especially!
Hi Neil, How are you? what picture profile you shoot?
Can't beat a little cheat now and again - call it Fergie time! Neil, what harness are you using? Looking to get one shortly.
Haha, I'll take that! Thank you Carl :) I use a MoneyMaker harness from Holdfast. I've had it for years now and it's still in great condition.
Brilliant! I'll pop that on the list!
First.
High 5!
This is so great, love learning from you.
Thank you so much Rob
