    Thank you for video. So anti-static bags may be reused for same purpose?

    As for the electrical discharge, when the body rubs with the carpet, it loses electrons, and when the body touches any metal surface close to it, such as a door handle, for example (the bonding forces of electrons are weak) the electrons will move from the metal surface of the human body to compensate for the lack of electrons in it. The question is why does a positive charge not appear on the surface A metal that has lost its electrons

      Essentially the problem with ESD that you are trying to avoid is the sudden transfer for charge one to another. This happens when the balance is different. By grounding yourself, you are essentially removing an extra charge you may have, thus transferring it before you touch any components. The extra charge would naturally dissipate into the air given enough time. The metal does gain a charge from you, however, it is better a holding a charge then we are. Thus you are transferring the charge to it, the metal is holding the charge and it slow dissipates.

    Hello, i have currently using Static Discharge Palm Plate equipment. Did there has way to check that my palm plate is working?

    • @itfreetraining

      You could use a mulitmeter. Set your multimeter to the continuity (beep) mode. With the palm plate disconnected from any power source, touch one probe of the multimeter to the conductive plate of the palm plate and the other probe to a known grounding point. If it beeps it is working. Make sure you ground it again before use.

    Sir- can ionizer fan replace wrist band?. This may not be in line with ANSI ESD standard? Believe wrist band, ankle band, floor mats is ESD personnel safety.

      Using ionizer fans can help. However, if you pick up charge somewhere else and walk into that area you will still have the charge. Any ESD protection is better than none, so ionizer fans still help.

    I have question:When should i use that wire static?

    • @itfreetraining
      @itfreetraining  4 месяца назад

      What you do mean by wire static? When working with computers doing some ESD protection is always good, just grounding yourself before you touching a component makes a difference.

    ok basically you touch nothing, now I am way far away from my computer and even afraid to use it damn!

      Electronics components nowadays are pretty tuff so if you exercise a little care you should be o.k. Main thing if you don't have the ESD equipment is to touch the computer case so you remove any static electric that you have before touching a component.
