Listening to the sounds of nature is the most natural and healthy way to relax and improve sleep quality. Listening to the sounds of nature before bed or throughout the day is a great health and wellness practice for those who want to stay focused and relaxed while improving their mental health and productivity. Using the sounds of nature to improve sleep quality can greatly improve your morale and help you get through the next day without the stress of work.
Playing nature sounds before bed can not only improve sleep quality, it can also help counteract the negative effects of being indoors by mimicking the brain's perception of green spaces. The sounds of nature can also help you be more productive at work or at school. The sounds of nature can help the brain focus and reduce anxiety, as it helps calm the fight-or-flight response that keeps you awake at night or prevents you from engaging in stressful activities.
A study has shown that listening to recorded natural sounds affects the body systems that control the autonomic nervous system of flight or fear and rest, and this has a related effect on resting brain activity and bodily relaxation. There was also increased activity in the nervous system responsible for digestion at rest (associated with relaxation of the body) when listening to natural sounds compared to artificial ones, as well as higher performance in the task of monitoring external attention. Participants' reaction times were also slower when listening to artificial sounds than natural ones. Meanwhile, artificial sounds, such as road or construction noise, affected the participants in different ways. When you listen to natural sounds, the brain connection reflects the outer focus of attention; when listening to artificial sounds, brain connectivity reflected an inward focus of attention, similar to conditions seen in anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, and depression.
The artificial sounds led to more introspection, which caused anxiety and stress. Artificial sounds have been shown to decrease concentration and increase internal attention, including excessive thoughts or self-worry. Overall, nature sounds have been associated with a decrease in the body's sympathetic response (which causes the "fight or flight" feeling) and an increase in the parasympathetic response, which helps the body relax and function normally. as the “rest of the digest” response.
    CAUTION:
This sound should not be listened to while driving or operating heavy machinery. Remember that loud sounds may damage your hearing. The sound in one of our videos may be too loud if you cannot have a conversation over it without raising your voice. Never place speakers right next to a baby's ears. In case of hearing difficulties or ringing in the ears, do not listen to the white noise sounds any further and consult an audiologist or physician immediately.
This RUclips channel's sounds are for entertainment purposes only and are not intended to treat sleep disorders or tinnitus. Please consult a doctor if you have problems sleeping regularly, experience restless sleep, or feel tired during the day.
