i like how cassie has this pastel pink and blue pallet with mainly short outfits and i also like how maddy can alternate between short or long outfits with more darker and bolder colors, but both are beautiful in their own right

It’s the color scheme for the characters. Cassie is mostly blue and some pink in a pastel way , while Maddy is mostly purple along with some darker colors. For example when Cassie dressed like Maddy and they were standing next to each other.
What stood out to me was when Cassie got exposed, notice how Maddy is wearing blue outfit. I don’t know what the symbolism is but that was a bold and interesting choice
@@mickilarry4890 yeah and Cassie was wearing pink. Blue is a very emotional color and pink is sex symbol color. I think they were just showing the emotional states of the characters
@@tizzbabe4386 it's literally because of their features... if you know anything about fashion you would know that blondes look good in pastels while brunettes rock bolder colors. Cassie has a pretty chest so that's also accentuated. Maddie has a nice bum so she's always in something high waisted. Nothing to do with charachters, they are all dressed in basic teenage outfits that suit their bodies

Everyone in the comment section saying Cassie dresses for male attention, might be true, but I can’t be the only one who thinks they gave her this “sweet, super feminine, preppy, good girl” style to show that she is trying to appear innocent despite what she actually thinks of herself. It is brought up numerous times in S2 that she is trying to make everyone (including herself) think she’s a good person when she thinks she’s not (and she’s not, let’s be honest, most of these characters are not good people but that’s what makes the show complex).

That’s not true. They’re all good people. They’re in high school and are going through dark times in their life.. idk about you but I relate to many of them.. the writers are brilliant and they’ve said many times that the issues they face and everything dark about each of them is something everyone can relate to.
i think it’s actually trying to show the opposite, shows how everyone has a story behind why they are the way they are. and life is rough for a lot of people, even the ones you might now think are having that way..
@@lillymurray8408 I disagree. A lot of them go beyond “high school issues” and are just bad people. Like Nate (I don’t need to explain), Maddy (framing), Cassie (betrayal of girl code to the max). That doesn’t mean they can’t change when they get older, but at the time of the show, good people don’t do those things. I also don’t know about you, but I wouldn’t like to have them around knowing how they treat others. They are still good characters, but not good people.
@@ac-ry1ml Yes, no doubt Cassie’s trauma is part of why she feels she has to portray herself in this sweet, goody-2-shoes way. I agree with that part. But I personally still think she is dressing this way to make herself and others think she is unproblematic.
Am i the only one who likes Cassie’s style? I dress in her kind of colors and silhouettes w all my soft pastels and everything. Kind of hurts my feelings when everyone says dressing like that is for the male gaze when girls are allowed to like pretty and cutesy clothing too.

I know a lot of people are choosing Maddy’s style but I personally like Cassie’s. I know in the storyline some of the outfits are because she wants to be noticed by a guy, but excluding the reason that they wear it and just on the articles of clothing themselves, they are so cute! I like the girly cute clothing style

@Ant not really. She's in a fucked up manipulative relationship in the second season and was taken advantage of. And her fashion style, body shape aside, is pretty average. Maddy is a try hard, she is the one with literal matching outfits and trying on designer clothes. So I would argue no, Cassie isn't desperate. She might like male attention but doesn't dress for it, she gets it because of her body.

Maddy but I find it a bit weird how Maddy’s able to afford things like Versace while still in highschool and being just middle class. Even when she’s already broken up with Nate she wears fashion brands. Very unrealistic IMO. Cassie is much more realistic.
I think she just thrifts or smth, and plus I’m S1, Nate did buy her clothes, plus she was trying on her employer’s clothes in some of the clips

This comment section is as horrid as every other one comparing these two beautiful ladies. I understand why people have opinions on Cas & Maddy, but for gosh sakes they’re two separate characters. They have different taste, different styles and different attitudes and people don’t understand that. Just like real life, not everyone is the same. People also need to realize that they’re just characters from a tv show and nothing more than that, cast especially Syd (cassie) is feeling attacked. Catch the reality everyone, they aren’t these people.

I dress up in some of the things Cassie wears and I’ve had to take off things because of my boobs, they make cute shirts look more provocative than I want them to. Seeing Cassie dress with confidence wearing similar things made me feel good about wearing clothes like this again. I don’t know what “try hard” about it

One of my close friends is hardly a size B and I'm a DD we might be showing the same amount of skin, yet I'm aware that people will perceive both outfits differently bcoz of the change in body shape and structure on which it is put on. This comments section just reflects why I'm uncomfortable dressing cute sometimes, bcoz I can't help it being perceived as provocative.

It is obvious that Maddy's given better outfits, lines and character traits. It's really sad to see that these videos shows Maddy's best fits but didn't give Cassie her justice. She really does have many good outfits throughout the series, better than what is shown.

They dress pretty much the same, the only difference is their chest size. If Cassie had smaller breasts the same outfits would look different on her and nobody would tell that she is seeking men's attention.
