@@glendagonzalez4217 I think the formula of the L’Oréal one is different since it’s made to go over dark hair, something about it just really sticks. Obviously there will always be some fading but this brand and line is what lasts me the best and longest. My hair grows fast and I only do wash my hair once a week 🫶🏼

I had that problem. Use blue black. It'll help hide the brown and reddish tones better. That's what I use.💙🧿
Also you can buy the squeeze bottle from Sally's instead of the brush and bowl. It's easier for application.

Tara! I have a great routine in keeping my hair black. My hair is naturally like a medium brown. To keep it black I go to the salon every 3-4 months to get a “Demi” color. It’s a temporary color so it’s not as damaging but surprisingly this little routine WORKS!

if youre worried about a red tone making your hair look brown after dying it, you should try toning with a green. it visually removes the red tint and makes the black seem more pure, especially in daylight

Tara your hair came out great! 🖤 You should give Blue Black Demi hair dye a chance with 10 volume peroxide 😍 (10 volume peroxide is a color deposit, so less damaging) the blue will help cancel the red/ brown undertone giving you an amazing midnight black color.

1. Yes the semi permanent is why its not as dark as you want it, it just sits on top of the hair and rinses out
2. Bond bar is not 'box dye' it actually has bonding agents in it so it is the least damaging permanent dye (bond bar is a dupe for olaplex so this dye is really good)
3. Wish i knew what volume developer you got, hopefully 20
4. Please make sure the hair is more coated with the dye than that
5. You can apply vaseline to your hair line so it doesnt stain your face

@@liz-ze1to vol 10 would work best for you since you're going from brown to black, the higher developer levels are for when you need to lift color out :))
volume 10 would actually be best for her hair to prevent damage since she's going darker! but volume 20 would work too tho depending on the brand of the permanent dye since some permanent dyes do require 20 vol :)
@liz-ze1to yes 20 volume will be safe and as the other comment said you can use 10, I just find 10 is best for toners for me personally not permanent dyes.
