Love love love your advice on original art and vintage pieces. ❤❤ Nothing bores me more than a room full of unsustainable, all-new, mass-produced nastiness
Special thank you for putting example of entire apartment/house in one particular design. It's not always possible to find, usually couple rooms leaving you wondering what's in other rooms
Love your videos, thank you for all the wonderful design tips and ideas. As an antique lover and love of things of past with history and character, I love incorporating these gems into my decor. My taste is quite traditional but I do love modern amenities like a fridge, stove etc but the rest my house I love a cozy lived in, but well styled home 😊
Def with you on the rug size❤️My fave uplift each Fall is to re-paint my front porch and add seasonal plants to the planters, a door wreath and fresh doormat. Cleaning my exterior lights and pressure washing our entrance pavers makes a world of difference. This seasonal up-do always encourages me to clean the entry hall and feel ready for family and friends to be with us for Thanksgiving/Christmas…..Yes to flowers and scented candle. Florida folks yearning for that change in weather, roll on Fall. Love your shows, thank you for the inspiration.
As a designer, I always look forward to hearing your latest tips and ideas for freshening and elevating a space. Thank you! Quick question about how best to invoice clients. Do you do hourly or by project? I usually do by project but feel that’s much more of a bargain for my clients. Thoughts?
Hi … I love all of your tips they make so much sense I will start to make changes and to incorporate them in my place in a smaller scale I leave in apartment Would you say is ok for the ones who don’t own a big place Thank you ❤
The problem I have with rug size is that I need a larger than 9 x 12. I need a 12 x 12 or an 11 x 11. I can never find the right sizes because those aren't made. If I use a 9 x 12 then only the front feet of the couch are on it. It doesn't look right. I am thinking that maybe a sisal rug underneath the other rug would work. Will it? idk
Love all these tips! My favorite one, and the one I have always tried to highly express as one of the most important to all my friends and family, is music in the home! It sets the tone for whatever kind of gathering you are having, or for being alone at home wanting to just relax and let the day go! It will make your guest feel so at ease and happy!
@mariedantes3151 // if only I could input pictures here. I kinda think that's what I'm doing. I'm just hoping I'm doing it right. Thanks for letting me know it should be done that way. I look up living rooms with zones. You gave me an ausome idea. Thank you again.
Try a console table ( a good sized one) to block off the area where the front door is. Be sure your sofa and chairs etc are facing away from the front door. Maybe put bookshelves on the opposite side (on a wall) of the console table to create an entryway. The bookshelves and console table would help create an entryway.
@@victoriabenn // I have a console table in front now and it makes a huge difference. I also have a convo room placed on the side where if men are watching a move, the game (example) us women have our own area. If it a lot of people..we just go to the dining room. I seriously appreciate all these helpful tips with advice.
Is there any way to create a foyer with design or a standing open shelving unit? Even if not, you can elevate your home. Make a statement in your living room. Good luck!
Big hello from Algeria from a new follower. Love all your videos. Happy to realize that I already have incorporated into our flat most of your tips except for the window treatment. We don't need it , glass treated, open, no vis à vis. Besides I'm using all the wall space for my art collection, including local artists. The tip I learned from you and love is using branches and leaves from our surroundings. This week: rubber plant leaves and branch, olive branches, flowering laurel and other local plants ( don't know their names in English).
Hey ! Could you please help me and advise me on how do i incorporate the living room and bedroom in the same room . The space is a little over 193ft square
Yes, I love window coverings, but sometimes they aren’t necessary. We don’t have any in our great room because the windows are double height and I love the view!! Thanks for watching❤️
Curate Accessories is my favorite tip. I have lots of western antiques from the ranch I grew up on. Your comments made me feel good about my style incorporating them into my decor inside and outside.
Love you and all the decorating tips you share! Your home is gorgeous and love the way you style things! Love dimmers as they really make everything so beautiful! I have vintage glass and vintage Czechoslovakian perfume bottles so love to display them! I also have Paragon teacups so can’t tell you how many times I look at them and people who visit love them! Thank you for sharing and thank you for the tips on rugs! I don’t like small rugs! Have a beautiful day!😍🥰😍
LOVE THIS! I just subscribed. I am building a custom home and need this! I really liked what you said about the can lights and the entry from the outside in. Also was questioning my use of 25% antique or vintage. I am trying to make a very contemporary home and not sure about "vintage". I plan to look at Estate sale for some high end art and furniture pieces. They dont make most furniture well these days.
The tip which I feel like I’m needing in my home are window covers! I have most windows covered however I have a few that I did not know what to do…your video really inspired me and ideas came! Thank you!
Please don't say exspecially. The word is especially - there is no x in the word. I am a retired elementary school teacher and just can't help myself. Your tips are great and have worked for me. Thank you!
So excited to share my top 12 tips to elevate your home!! I loved making this video, let me know which tip is your favorite! ❤
Thank you for supporting local artists!!!
Absolutely ❤️
I like adding a touch a vintage and flowers. Vintage makes for a well collected home and flowers for a touch of life and scent.

This info is terrific. But "Eck-specially"?
The tips are great but how many times can you repeat "how to elevate your home" throughout the video before it become redundant and irritating.

I would look at incorporating a Murphy bed! They are a great space saver and can be really helpful in a living/bedroom situation 🤎

Flowers
My fave!!
Thanks for sharing your tips. Window dressings are needed for almost every room! They’re so expensive for that clean and elegant look.

In fact, how about a video on what that means & how the thought process around it works?
