Love your videos, thank you for all the wonderful design tips and ideas. As an antique lover and love of things of past with history and character, I love incorporating these gems into my decor. My taste is quite traditional but I do love modern amenities like a fridge, stove etc but the rest my house I love a cozy lived in, but well styled home 😊

Def with you on the rug size❤️My fave uplift each Fall is to re-paint my front porch and add seasonal plants to the planters, a door wreath and fresh doormat. Cleaning my exterior lights and pressure washing our entrance pavers makes a world of difference. This seasonal up-do always encourages me to clean the entry hall and feel ready for family and friends to be with us for Thanksgiving/Christmas…..Yes to flowers and scented candle. Florida folks yearning for that change in weather, roll on Fall. Love your shows, thank you for the inspiration.

The problem I have with rug size is that I need a larger than 9 x 12. I need a 12 x 12 or an 11 x 11. I can never find the right sizes because those aren't made. If I use a 9 x 12 then only the front feet of the couch are on it. It doesn't look right. I am thinking that maybe a sisal rug underneath the other rug would work. Will it? idk

Love all these tips! My favorite one, and the one I have always tried to highly express as one of the most important to all my friends and family, is music in the home! It sets the tone for whatever kind of gathering you are having, or for being alone at home wanting to just relax and let the day go! It will make your guest feel so at ease and happy!

Try a console table ( a good sized one) to block off the area where the front door is. Be sure your sofa and chairs etc are facing away from the front door. Maybe put bookshelves on the opposite side (on a wall) of the console table to create an entryway. The bookshelves and console table would help create an entryway.

@@victoriabenn // I have a console table in front now and it makes a huge difference. I also have a convo room placed on the side where if men are watching a move, the game (example) us women have our own area. If it a lot of people..we just go to the dining room. I seriously appreciate all these helpful tips with advice.

Big hello from Algeria from a new follower. Love all your videos. Happy to realize that I already have incorporated into our flat most of your tips except for the window treatment. We don't need it , glass treated, open, no vis à vis. Besides I'm using all the wall space for my art collection, including local artists. The tip I learned from you and love is using branches and leaves from our surroundings. This week: rubber plant leaves and branch, olive branches, flowering laurel and other local plants ( don't know their names in English).

LOVE THIS! I just subscribed. I am building a custom home and need this! I really liked what you said about the can lights and the entry from the outside in. Also was questioning my use of 25% antique or vintage. I am trying to make a very contemporary home and not sure about "vintage". I plan to look at Estate sale for some high end art and furniture pieces. They dont make most furniture well these days.
