    That new points structure idea is genius and im honestly shocked no one pushed for that in the past. Hope Blast goes for that one

  • @VoidLantadd

    One thing not considered with the player point system is how it would work with subs. For instance, if a team wanted to make a change and bring on a new player, they would be sacrificing a third of their points for however many points the player they bring on might have. But if they didn't want to give up those points from their player to the overall pool of teams, to not give whoever picks them up an advantage, they could just put their previous player on the bench. Then, no one else gets those points, and that player is stuck there not being able to play, essentially being held hostage for their points.

      I don't think we'll ever hit the skill ceiling, we already have pros at 15 with thousands of hours and they aren't even close, and older pros with 15k hours and they aren't any closer

    • @packers12to80
      @packers12to80 3 месяца назад

      The "ceiling" has been hit for the most part. What separates rocket league to other e sports...its closest to a actual sport. So the game will evolve but it will be more strategy then skill. Maybe a few more moves will get discovered but not much. But the way teams rotate...pass...kick off etc will continue to change. Hell I wouldn't be surprised if they start working in some kind of zone defense 😂.

    The induvidual player points is a real interesting idea. My only query with it is when it comes to subs. If a player becomes a sub Do they keep their points? It may end being like the gamers8 situation where teams are picking up 1s players as subs just so they can use them for 1v1's. Except with this they would be picking up a player who's gained a bunch of points previously but only having them as a sub so they get an addition X amount of points overall. I feel like the sub should have to lose all their points.

    I think the players owning their own points has ups and downs. From the argument it appears that players will have more freedom finding teams but I think orgs will make harder contract agreements to get out of if thew player WANTS to leave (Rise on OXG to BDS). Because if Rise left and OXG lost 1/3 of their points, how is that fair on the org. Imagine being an org owner in that situation.

    • @onze000
      @onze000 3 месяца назад

      OXG would still have 2/3 of their points, that alone makes it fair. Besides, the player they would bring in will have 1/3 of their last team's points. Stop being so worried about ORGs, players are in much more trouble right now. Realize, for example, is not a multimillionaire like his past team owner.

    • @rhinoshark239
      @rhinoshark239 3 месяца назад

      @@onze000It is true, Gladitors may not have initiated the trade if players kept their points but Realize's situation is ultimately down to bad communication and not leaving him enough time to find another org.
      Most orgs are playing for negative $, and I'm just pointing out that having an even larger chance to miss worlds because your player leaves mid-season is not ideal. Coaches, managers etc. all play a part in success, not just the players and it is unfair to have those people's work not accurately reflected in the point tally.
      Also, your point about picking up another player with points...
      That will close the gap even further for rookies to get paid opportunities. If orgs are forced into signing an established player with points to have a chance for worlds, then why would any org pick up a rookie.
      Dignitas just signed Stizzy. They would likely never done that if players held onto their points because that would put them all the way down to tied 12th ranking (assuming players cant keep points cross region).

    To all people saying this is sad for Moist/Charlie:
    Charlie knew from the beginning that running an E-Sports org will always result in huge losses. At some point, all of the money that he wanted to invest will be spent and I guess that time is now. Sure, it's sad that it has to end, but we all knew that it had to at some point.
