This has helped me understand the hijab more. I am a new muslim since Sept 4 2015 and have only been wearing my hijab for a little while. I live in a neighborhood wear I am the only woman I have seen wearing the hijab. It made me nervous at first but Allah gave me the strength to put it on and not worry about what people say or think. I have falling in love with wearing it. I get the stares and such but some people actually speak and smile which makes me feel like...ok...I can do this. Now my daughter wants to become a muslim by watching my example and that is even a greater feeling.

Beating Women is Forbidden in Islam...
8Chapter 2:The Treatment of Wives in Light of the Holy Qur’an and the SunnahInlight of the Verses of the Qur'an, we see that Allah, the Exalted ordered excellent treatment towards the wife, generosity towards her, and the best cohabitation with her, even if there is not love from the heart. Allah, the All-Wise said:And live with them in the best way. If you dislikethem, it maybe that you dislike a thing and Allah brings through it a great deal of good.(4:19)The Prophet said:“A believer man must not hate (his wife) believing woman; if he dislikes one of her characteristics he will be pleased with another.”(Muslim)Also, Allah clarifies that the woman has rights towards her husband, just as the husband has towards her.Allah, the Exalted says:And they (women) have rights(over their husbands), similar (to those of their husbands) over them, to what is reasonable.(2:228)And the Prophet’s last willbefore he dies was that men should take care of their wives and honour them, and never treat them unfairly or swallow their rights. The Prophet said:“Treat the women in the best way.’’And the Prophet ordered usto behave well to ourwives, and be generous with them, and he also clarified that the best of men is hewho treats his wife best. The Prophet said:“The most complete in faith is the best in character. And the best of you is the one who is best to his wife.” (At-Tirmidhi)

Some Misconceptions about Women in Islam...
Islam gave women rights and privileges at a time when only barbaric manners and values dominated. Yet, some people argue that Islam has alienated women in some domains. In fact, this belief is a misconception. People who say so, may have read about it in a magazine or seen it on TV. A quick examination of the issues judged as unjust to women will certainly correct the misunderstanding.

The author said in his introduction, "Islam acknowledges the fact that one's sexual desire has to be satisfied. It considers fulfilling this desire a praiseworthy matter, as long as it is done within Shari'ah limits. It is not disdainful to satisfy this desire, nor should it be neglected." He also said, "In this booklet we will discuss the Islamic method of satisfying sexual desire, and how it can be transformed from a base desire into an act of worship through which a Muslim receives reward."

I've always been taught hijab isn't just fabric. I will add it isnt fabric, it is the fiber of a woman's being. How she speaks and interacts with others, how she sees herself and navigates the world...that's hijab!

wearing the hijab was the last thing I did. I first started to eat halal, then started praying, then read quran and finally wore the hijab. But it was easier for me to transition because my community has a lot of multiculture. I'm somewhat glad my parents did not force me to wear a scarf, becuase it helped me see the beauty behind it. However it's always good to advise covering up!

Brother I'm sorry but you have a wrong idea about Hijab.
There is no compulsion in religion (Quran 2:256).
My hijab was my choice, I was never force to do anything regarding my religion (Islam).
I did choose to wear the hijab because I read about it myself.
To let anyone enjoy looking at my body as if I'm a piece of art always bothered me.
      My hijab is my modesty.
and I would like to save myself for the person who deserves me.
The person who would fall in love with my personality before my beauty.🌸

      .
The hijab is something God has asked Muslim women to wear in the presence of strange men.

People will judge and hatred on you and look at you in way that's kinda awkward for wearing the hijab. but gurl!! If you ain't got no haters, you ain't poppin!!'.

I am so drawn to Islam after learning more about the teachings of Mohammed. I see the truth in the Quran and only parables in the bible meant to confuse. I wear a hijab at home in the mirror like a closet Muslim my daughters love them too and also want to wear them. We live a small Aussie town with no Muslims, we plan to move within a year to relocate to Tasmania were I hope to prepare for the coming collapse of society caused by environmental degradation, war and economic chaos.

      sunnah .com/bukhari/78/157
      Narrated `Aisha:
I used to play with the dolls in the presence of the Prophet, and my girl friends also used to play with me. When Allah's Messenger (?) used to enter (my dwelling place) they used to hide themselves, but the Prophet would call them to join and play with me. (The playing with the dolls and similar images is forbidden, but it was allowed for `Aisha at that time, as she was a little girl, not yet reached the age of puberty.) (Fath-ul-Bari page 143, Vol.13)
      sunnah .com/nasai/26/60
It was narrated from 'Aishah that the Messenger of Allah married her when she was six years old, and consummated the marriage with her when she was nine.
      sunnah .com/bukhari/67/69
      Narrated `Aisha:
that the Prophet (?) married her when she was six years old and he consummated his marriage when she was nine years old, and then she remained with him for nine years (i.e., till his death).
      sunnah .com/bukhari/52/25
...I have never seen in her anything faulty except that she is a girl of immature age, who sometimes sleeps and leaves the dough for the goats to eat.' ...
      sunnah .com/urn/44290
...I have never seen anything regarding Aisha which I would blame her for except that she is a girl of immature age who sometimes sleeps and leaves the dough of her family unprotected so that the domestic goats come and eat it...
And these last 2 ahadith revolve around Aisha being accused of infidelity so even then she was "a girl of immature age."
      sunnah .com/bukhari/67/18
      Narrated Jabir bin `Abdullah:
When I got married, Allah's Messenger (?) said to me, "What type of lady have you married?" I replied, "I have married a matron' He said, "Why, don't you have a liking for the virgins and for fondling them?" Jabir also said: Allah's Messenger (?) said, "Why didn't you marry a young girl so that you might play with her and she with you?'
      islamqa .info/en/146882
"With regard to females, the father may give his minor, virgin daughter who has not yet reached the age of nine in marriage...
and it is permissible for him to do that even if she is reluctant."
      islamqa .info/en/22442
"...one a girl reaches the age of nine then the marriage may be consummated even without her consent..."
Pedophilia and raping little girls is completely legal under sharia since Muhammad did it and he is the absolute standard FOR ALL TIME. You can marry girls of 0 (zero) age and either rape them once they reach 9 years old or sooner if you can come to "agreement" with her father/guardian that raping her won't "harm" her. And if she's too young to handle penetration:
      islamicvirtues .com/2013/12/28/deriving-sexual-pleasure-from-infants/
"I was asked by a brother whether or not it is true that Shi’ite men are allowed to derive sexual pleasure from infant children, and even new-born babies, by fondling them or rubbing their genitals on them."
"And since deriving sexual pleasure from your wives or female slaves is generally permissible in Islam, and only sexual intercourse is prohibited before the age of maturity (typically at 9 years), it appears that the act of lustful fondling and thighing infant wives may be permissible for us as well."
      islamweb .net/emainpage/index.php?page=showfatwa&Option=FatwaId&Id=92051
      Meaning of Mufaakhathah
The term Mufaakhathah means to have foreplay with the wife in between her thighs. It is reported in one narration that when the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) wanted to enjoy one of his wives who was in menstruation, he would put a piece of cloth on her vagina (i.e. cover it). [Ibn Maajah].
The author of Faydh Al-Qadeer interpreted the expression 'if he wanted to enjoy to mean having all permissible foreplay but avoiding the vagina [or the anus], like in between her thighs (i.e. Mufaakhathah).
Do these islamic sources show my ignorance about islam as well?
      Cheers.

Hijab means barrier, it means to cover yourself like a barrier, I still feel sad that people think covering your hair is enough. You cover your hair, but still wear skinny jeans, that's not what Islam is teaching us. But who am I to judge, I just pray to Allah (swt) to keep the man lowering their gaze and the woman cover herself the way she supposed to be covered, it's allot more harder in our time, sexuality is been promoted everywhere. Oh Turner of hearts keep our hearts firm upon you religion. Ameen!

+Asma Bellounis I know its hard believe me I know, I live with 2 sister's and a mother, my father passed away Allahi rahmou, so I'm the only man at home and I live in the EU. I always give my sister's advice telling them that building a relationship with Allah is a beautiful thing. You will love Allah more then everything and if you love someone you would do anything for the one you love. things will not be difficult anymore.
The thing what makes me sad is, they are promoting hijab and that's a good thing, but they should promote it not only by covering your hair, but instead what really hijab is, the really beauty of it and I would never ever say that someone will go to hell for whatever reason. I'm not a judge and I will never judge. Is Allah not the best of judges?

    • @dimadib8973

A girl with a hijab and skinny jeans is still better than a girl without hijab at all. If a sister took the step to wearing hijab that’s a huge step. Therefore, we should not rush the sister to change her whole style including the skinny jeans. Just like she took the step toward the hijab she will soon inshallah also start dressing more modestly then she did. May Allah guide us all as Allah is the best of all judges.

Just read the Qur'an, Hadith, and Sira. Here's the summary: An epileptic man with schizophrenia convinces people that he hears revelations from a god, and starts conquering the Arabian peninsula. He beheads, crucifies, and tortures lots of people for imaginary offenses, and as a tactic of war. He takes on many wives and sex slaves, some as young as 6 years old. Then he dies without leaving a successor and his followers kill and fight over the succession until nearly 1/3 of the world is embattled in this blood feud of religious violence.

Submission to God ( Allah) is different than submission to trump, stupid political agenda and propaganda, illuminati, weird celebs and racist ideology.(if you are under these things than you might be oppressed) but submission to Allah is in no way being oppressed
