- Recently this has been regarded as Axis 500 and sold at Lowe's Home improvement store 1 Year ago I purchased a side by side from Tractor Supply. It was manufactured by a chinese company named Hisun who also make Cub Cadet and Coleman Motorsports for Rural King, Wal-Mart, Cabellas and other retailers. This is my review of the off road power sport Utility Vehicle after its first year of heavy use.

Keep making videos. My Massimo is 6 years old and no problems just normal maintenance
I just recently bought a Massimo T-Boss 410. Basically the same as this machine. I am super pleased!
I want to thank you for for producing this video and update. I wanted so badly to buy the Kubota 1100c but I simply couldn’t justify the purchase at a price of $21,000.00. I have a Kubota lawn mower with the 3 cylinder diesel motor and I love it.
BUT........
I’m 70 years old now and I use mine for a daily trip to the mailbox. Then of course I make the rounds just looking at what’s happening in my HOA that encompasses about 2 additional miles daily. The real test occurs every Saturday when my grand children come and we rack up roughly 10 miles weekly.
But I love it. Absolutely wonderful machine! I miss what the Kubota has. Air conditioning and heating you know, plus all the other features. You can see why my wife did not approve of the 1100c. And me also.
Anyway, I love this sxs though. So much fun even on asphalt! But I keep it inside and it is cleaner than when I bought it.
I’m also a HAM RADIO OPERATOR. Not CB. But HAM RADIO. It’s great since I installed a ha rig inside of it. Very nice to talk around the world while sitting in the Massimo!
So that’s my story and I’m sticking to it. Love it. Thanks for sharing your update my friend.
God Bless and drive safely!
Bought a Lowes Axis500, and love it. Only problem it blew 3 fuel pump fuses over 6 months. Wrapped a fine stranded wire - 2 turns around fuse terminals, and it's holding. Great purchase.
We bought our Massimo 500 from Tractor Supply a little over 5 years ago and have been very pleased. The only customization is an extra seat that bolts into the bed. My wife and I, our adult kids and the nieces and nephews have all enjoyed it. We have definitely got our money’s worth out of it here on our ranch in Texas, but we also take good care of it and don’t treat it rough. Actually the biggest issue we’ve had is with accuracy of the list of authorized service centers that Massimo lists on their website. They list two in Tyler, Texas. I called and one of those has been closed for almost 10 years. The other said they have never been an authorized service center for Massimo although they will perform general maintenance on them, just no warranty work. I finally found an authorized service center in Mineola which is about 35 miles from here and they have been super helpful. You are correct, the headlights could be brighter, and the battery that comes with them isn’t all that great although it did last me 4 years. A bushing and bolt came off the front end steering recently, and it’s in the shop getting repaired. All considered, repairs have been minimal, less costly and less frequent than I anticipated. If we had to do it over, we would absolutely buy this Massimo again. Thanks for the maintenance videos that you have posted. They’ve been informative and very helpful.
Where did u get the seat for the back?
i have a cubcadet challenger 500 and love it, used it to plow this past winter. and it did great.
I just bought a cub 17 challeng for 6k..
how. much was the plow? i live in the mid west and have a ling drive
I just bought a Bennche T-boss 750. So far, I'm very happy with it. I have been told that Bennche bought out Massimo. Not sure if that's right or not, but it has Massimo, Bennche, and Linhai names on it. I wish I could get some good performance reviews on it. I've only had it a month, and so far, this thing has been a beast!
Yes! You can put rhino parts, the 700 is just a 660 rhino with a 686 big bore, it’s the exact same dies and everything Yamaha just sold them off the Hisun, I’ve put all Yamaha parts in mine it’s wonderful and easy to get parts
would you buy one to plow snow? i have 13 acres,
I read that the rhino parts will fit it in another comment. If that’s true I am buying this machine. I have had two rhinos and they are tough as nails.
Thanks for the video . Doing research on them now .
You're welcome. I've got lots of videos on this model
@@TrainedZombie, well check them out for sure . Around here there 9k now but that's better than 30k for a Honda .
Glad to see yours is taking a beating and still running well, I had to clean my fuel tank, pump and injector cause it would not start. But I love my Hisun.
Most part so are inner change able. From rhino to it. Do your self a favor an put clutch weights in it an helps a hole lot in bottom end power for climbing hills
Where can I learn more about doing that?
@@TrainedZombie jbs performance.com. OD weights an 1mm shim are the best. Clutches are the same as the rhino
For me this was really informative, especially about parts and maintenance.
Thanks for the update. That's exactly the review I have been looking for. !:- )
I have a Massimo too! New sub!
Wow! can't believe it's been a year! I remember when you got that!
great video , looks like cheap fun
Great video! Do you still have it, and if so, how many miles? Any major issues yet?
Can we get a 4 year review?
I looked at the MSU 550 with a little more power witch is good but they made the cargo box shorter witch is bad. i cant decide jet .
I seen one like that at a farm supply store the other day they wanted 5999 for it it was 4x4 with a wench
Around here, you can't get a wench for 5999
@@Vic-lk1zq Ay lad, ye betta run down to that tavern over der.
anybody replaced the front bearings on one these yet, mines got one down and about to change it.
Cant find a CV axle ANYWHERE for my 1100. Looked for over a month .if u know anyone who does please help! Thanks
Kenneth Torgeson Massimo Sucks! I have the same unit you have. Was told by Massimo my part is not available. Need a camshaft position sensor. Would never buy from them again!
Amazon has them. Scroll through to find yours. www.amazon.com/s?k=massimo+cv+shaft&crid=3G17ZJKD3CWJW&sprefix=massimo+cv%2Caps%2C155&ref=nb_sb_ss_i_1_10
Sounds like these machines are a Pile of 💩 from reading reviews. Stay away from 💩 products.
Has anyone over rode the reverse limiter? I have done it on older atvs but don't know how to do it on this one. It is a pain when you want to backup with a load and won't move.
Looking to buy a 2015 m s u 500 with 112 miles and 225 hours is that high for these how many r they good for without major repairs
We have almost 900 miles, still a great machine
Does it engine brake going downhill or does it free wheel a little like the Polaris Rangers?
It seems to have some hold back, but you still have to use the brakes
Hey looking at the diff lock Switch. Do you have indications of locked?
Yes on the LED
@@TrainedZombie x on the diff?
My buddy gave me one today, won't keep charge
Would you please tell me the length of your light bar? Thanks.
Pretty sure it's the 32 inch
@@TrainedZombie Thank you
How many miles on it now any updates?
I'm thinking about one. My local Tractor Supply don't handle them. They sale Coleman.
Coleman is from Massimo I believe..
@@jaytodd5809 yeah I think they are all from the same factory. I just got the Massimo Buck 400 so far I love it!
Is it still running strong? Have you had to do any repairs, anything other than regular routine maintenance?
Sold it
@@TrainedZombie You by far had the most extensive videos about this brand, although I think it is a robust enough UTV 4X4 I did end up purchasing a 2010 low hr/mileage Kawasaki Teryx 750.
@@TrainedZombie why did you sell it if you don't mind me asking?
@@awkwrdpenetratn209 I like to know too
@@TrainedZombie why?
Does anybody know why my massimo 500 the display on the dash keeps blinking some reason iv tried everything checked all wires and everythin but it just keeps blinking and u cant tell the miles speed or nothin can some help me plz
Only thing I can think of is check for a loose ground wire or connector to ground or a ground wire to the frame. Could be a loose bolt or screw. Make sure your fuses are pushed all the way in and/or good. A fuse ready to blow may be getting intermittant contact. Also check for any bulbs that are partially inserted. If they're LED lights, check their tightness too at all connectors. It has to be something simple like that because it works of and on.
Do you pay in full or do you make payments
I financed through Tractor Supply. 3% interest 4 years $169 mo
Has anyone been 100 miles on one with no issues 😅
How about a Coleman 550 at tractor supply would you go for it
Same engine on a bigger body. More weight. It wiuld have less power
i stepped in dog shit
Not at all similar to a Rhino! Cant believe that was said! HAHAHA!
Parts even interchange, very similar
95% parts interchangeability
They haven't made rhinos in 8 years so the ones you've driven are at least that old. You've got 7 more to go.
@G Galilei you are correct sir. However, buying something like this chinese turd will eventually become a major regret. Parts, Service or resale.
I put an exhaust silencer on mine and it really helped with the loudness.

You gave a very lazy review dude waste of time
It was more of an update. I have lots of video uploaded about almost every detail. Check them out
