Rules of the Series (made simple!)

1. To progress and level skills, I must complete the most recent unlock according to the Skill Guide.
2. I cannot complete a quest if the XP will cause me to skip a skilling unlock. (Levelling is OK from the Quest XP if I don't skip an unlock)
3. If there are multiple unlocks at one level, I must do as many as possible.
For Rule 1:
I can return to previously unlocked methods to train the skill to the next level once the new unlocks have been completed. E.g. 50 Smithing, I must smelt a Mithril Bar and smith a Mithril Dagger before I can level the skill to 51 using any previously unlocked Smithing method, like Smithing Steel Platebodies.
For previously skipped unlocks, instead of making the description 10 paragraphs long - I have made a google document containing the unlocks we've had to skip, why we skipped them at the time and what we need to do to obtain them :)

That shortcut was bugged from a recent update (and since been fixed), it is supposed to work from both directions and you shouldn't end up INSIDE a wall lol. Classic SkillGuided moment to do some content in the 1 week period where it was bugged.

Edit: omfg.... it now works from both sides of the wall - still doesn't give Xp though hahaha
I distinctly remember this shortcut dropping me inside the wall, going back years ago. But I think that was after the initial grapple, instead of sending you to the top of the wall at all. I think it was possible to run off and abort the shortcut halfway through, instead of clicking the second part to get to the far side of the wall. Definitely looks like a bug in this video though.
Not sure in OSRS, but the RS3 version of the Yanille shortcut, when jumping down the north side from the top, drops you above the north side of the wall. I think it is a bug of some sort that it is dropping you inside of the wall. It does not give xp in RS3 either. Not a very useful shortcut either way, though.

Mate the amount of exceptions you got through in this one was epic! And finally got the flail too!
On the positive side for the grapple grind it is a diary task so you were going to have to do it eventually!

There is a setting where you can have your run automatically. Turn on when it builds up to a specific percentage that you set. Having to walk and running out of energy as much as you do. This would be a good option to turn on.

It's so lovably silly that you used an agility shortcut, ended up inside of the wall that you clearly jumped over, and had to take this long annoying path to actually get into Yanille, and _didn't question it._ Maybe that just says something about how tedious OSRS is automatically expected to be... in fact, personally at first I just assumed you failed the shortcut and it didn't give a chatbox message about it.
I never knew about Cob the Bat until now and I love him... even though my autistic self totally wants to nitpick that Bob was based on a real life cat and Cob is presumably not a real life bat!

It'd be helpful if there was a plugin that highlighted in some way, things on the skill guide that you have done.
Honestly will look into it but I've never made a plugin before. But on the surface it doesn't seem that hard to have the text turn green if I manually enter that I have completed it. Thanks!

how is this different to a normal playthrough?
he cant progress in a skill until he completes everything unlocked by reaching that level, including finding and equipping specific drops, doing quest prereqs, or reaching a specific level in a secondary skill (see any weapons that need a certain attack and strength to use). even simple shit quickly spirals out into a complex web

If this is how someone normally plays, I'd be concerned
As an example, if he wanted to go for dragon weaponry, he'd have to get 60 attack, but he can't get 60 attack until he has obtained and wielded a leaf-bladed sword and a granite weapon beforehand.
