Cat 2023 person here: Luck should be on your side do not expect moderate papers, shocks like 2023 appear, maintain a percentile of min 98 if you're a GEM otherwise not even great lakes will offer you admission even after a good interview. Also if you have gap years, you're seriously screwed until and unless you have done something hatke during those years, make sure you have a proper explanation for that. Especially for General Engineering Males, this system is designed specifically to weed you out, so be a national level athlete or do something national level so that the system can't touch you. Or go even higher do something international level. Hi Shweta, As you know, following a great routine and working hard doesn't guarantee a 99 percentile. Exam centre and exam computer also matter which messed up my CAT exam, and I am sure many other students' CAT exam. Consequently, I got interview calls from only new IIMs. Thankfully, I got shortlisted for interviews of both programs of XLRI. That's what is keeping me afloat and giving me some hope. Otherwise, I was absolutely devasted by what happened on the CAT exam day. What do we have to do so that students don't have problems like this in the future on the CAT exam day?

GEM 10th - 81.57 12th - 64 BTech - 82.66 TCS - 23Months Own Business - 17Months VA - 71.35 LR - 92.62 QA - 96.7 Overall- 93.07 Got calls from some of the baby IIMs like V, Jammu, BG etc If im sitting for next year I'll be having 48Months+ WorkEx. I've seen in many eligibility criteria of a few IIMs like I and K, they don't give values that much past 40M WorkEx. So with low acads, will it be beneficial to attempt another try? And I'm quite positive that I can do better than this year. But will it be a smart solution given poor acads and my age? Please help me!
