She sings strong, concrete, flawless sesotho and the presence of ntate Tsepo is incredible ... Just makes me more proud to be a mosotho. God bless you.
one sunday i came across this song, i liked it and it got on my playlist now is 2024. when i take a bus i listen to it, it makes the journey much shorter
Ntate Tsepo hle,may you rest in peace,o nkholisitse my parents used to play your music on Sundays 😭Aus Bonolo what a beautiful song I'm always stunned when listening to this masterpiece 💗💗
I would like to give a HUGE BIG-UP to the author of this track......David Maloka (Not known) but Damn the guy can write. This is just one of his many songs. Amazing vocals "Soft"
This song had the potential to break charts and rake more money for her... The problem is ethnic undertones that marginalised. Had she said Jwalo Ka MoAfrica instead of Ngwana wa Mosotho... Ask Zulu boy... The minute you confine yourself to a particular ethnic group you can only go so far. That's my positive critic. I love the song...
Your positive critics not acceptable she ngwana Mosotho why mustn't be proud to say that just to please other people is ok, Basotho come a long way with critics especially with their blankets wearing and horse riding traditions but today some tribe in South Africa claim the blanket attire and horse riding to be their tradition.
@@thandintulli278 When you feature Tshepo Tshola, be prepared to go to all Nine provinces of SA and Botswana. Who wants to listen to you in Botswana when you speak of your culture which doesn't resonate with them? Anyway Understanding how the world works is wisdom. And this who grasp it make it big beyond limitations of their culture. We will always say this song had potential.
@@sidneysetati3960 What are you talking about because Batswana are also Basotho, including the Northern Sotho in Limpopo which compose of Bapedi and many other people. Your reasoning doesn't make sense, since when can people not celebrate their tribes. There are a lot of music from other tribes. Why can't we celebrate our own, why is it wrong for Basotho to do it? To be a Mosotho is to be part of a nation of people, not a tribe. Basotho of today Free State and Lesotho are a mixture of Sotho,Tswana, Nguni, San and few Koranna and Griqua peoples. Same as in Botswana, even white people are Batswana, just depends how you interpret the song yourself.
Rubix Sentinel My point is vindicated by the fact that this song hasn't broken any charts. It had great potential but to no avail. We all agree that it's a great song. And please check Bonolos interview on this matter. There is an interview on RUclips. Huge expectation but low response... You can argue this way or that way, fact is I'm pointing you the possible cause of what marginalised this song.
@@sidneysetati3960 That could be the case I'm not disagreeing with you and I sympathize with her not getting the results she expected if that's true, but yet we as the Sotho appreciate the song and support her because of her having pride in her culture. This song is also meant to bring together Basotho of Lesotho and South Africa. People of Lesotho rarely get any mention as sotho people and representation. As I said before, to us this song means alot. Sometimes a song doesn't have to be big for it to be appreciated. And perhaps by big reception she could have meant she hoped the song could have reached more Sotho people. And it didn't because they don't know about it, even the language is proof enough she made this song specifically for the Sotho people in a language they will understand. I don't disagree with you, but we may be African but we're not the same type of people. We all have our own identities and everyone deserves to celebrate their own identities separated from the Africa grouping, we've been lumped in together for centuries by white people as "Africans" we rarely have time to celebrate our own identity. Don't force people to include Africa in a situation she wants to enjiy with her people in her own language. I got irritated when you said Batswana don't resonate with a culture that's not theirs when Batswana are actually Basotho and there's no difference between them and the Sotho people. The only people this song could simply not resonate with are the Nguni people, but that's acceptable because this song was not made for them but for Basotho. I feel proud whenever someone sings in Setswana and Sepedi because they're my people too and our cultures and history is the same. That's why we're called the mountain tribes. So I hear you but it's not a requirement to involve the rest of Africa in our things. Everyone deserves to celebrate their own culture separately. That's how it's been for centuries. Don't Africanize us by force, we are Basotho before we are African.
+Sera Falatsi It is polotics of the industry but believe me you, KillaJoeRecords is doing it level best to give the people what is joyful to the ears and heart. All thanks to Joe Nina and the team behind all this.
