I have just started practicing the Ocean Currents pattern. I am only a year in to FMQ so I am pleased with the results. I am getting ready to do a nautical quilts with schooners, lighthouses and ocean currents.Thank you.
This is a beautiful design. I used this design for the sky swirling around the high rises of a Chicago skyline quilt and it came out absolutely stunning. Thank you for sharing this video.
I'm so excited to see this tutorial. As a beginner, I have only done simple quilting, no free motion I made a nautical quilt for my daughter's baby and want to try my hand at free motion quilting. I took a quilting class and was advised to doodle/draw constantly after trying this on my sketch pad I think I'm ready to give it a try. Thanks again for helping give me the courage to do something a little more complicated, but still simple enough not to overwhelm me,
Yes, definitely draw first, then jump right in! This is a great design to start with because it's very organic and freeform so even if your quilting isn't perfect, it will still look great!

You're super welcome! Yes, Ocean Currents works great for sky, water, and just general movement over a quilt too!
