The majority don't know that my pen name is MiN (_Let's keep it a secret_ ;P) which prevents people from having a prejudice of arrogance against me when they read the quote, like you said, & thus can fully focus on the meaning of the words without bias or negative preconceptions.
There's a reason why I choose to use a pen name rather than my username because my goal was for people to read a beautiful/inspirational quote, and I've always loved to know who said a quote so I decided to make up a name that those quotes could be associated with.
Not because I wanted praise, fame, or even popularity, in fact, I made up that pen name to avoid all that if my little bundles of words ever got too popular. It's sort of like a more specific version of anonymous.
I've got a bit of social anxiety, so being the focus of attention isn't something I'm comfortable with, even on the internet. But I didn't want that to stop me from sharing my little thoughts with my fellow human beings who may find more meaning & purpose in those little words than I ever could.
Ooops... Alright I'll keep it a secret. Shhhhh. ;) **meanwhile, dozens of people in the comments section are reading this thread** XD May I just ask what MiN stands for?
I think I understand. It's a good way to get your thoughts out there without people knowing they're yours. MiN would be the middleman. Smart. May I also ask why you have social anxiety though? I'm not judging because, believe me, I had it really bad once - and at my worst, I refused to leave the house for months, so I'm not judging. Of course, if it's too private, I understand if you don't want to talk about it.
Oh and if it helps, I really am grateful that you decided to share your thoughts anyway.

What does *MiN* stand for?
Like I said before I wanted something that can be associated with different quotes, ideas, concepts, etc so a specific "name" just couldn't fulfill my standards thus " *MiN* " is more of an " *abbreviation* " than a " *name* " I just call it a "name" since explaining its meaning would take too long x3
*MiN* can stand for many different things depending on what is being said or talked about such as:
(_"Mi" pronounced as "My"_)
_MiNormal_ = "Your uniqueness"
_MiNobody_ = "Your special someone unseen by others"
_MiNoise_ = "Your voice in the world"
_MiNest_ = "Your place called home"
_MiNature_ = "Your personality & what makes you... you"
_MiNotions_ = "Your ideas & ambitions"
_MiNeighbors_ = "Your friends, family, & peers"
_MiNotes_ = "Your knowledge"
And the list goes on, but the reason why I wrote "Your" is because when *you* read "My" you were the one saying it & my goal was for *MiN* to be about the ideas & unique messages the readers gain, not about me.
Well it's only a matter of time before this comment falls into the endless abyss called the Comments... then the secret will be lost forever! xP

Honestly, I only have remnants of the social anxiety I used to have when I was younger. But the ones that remain are just so deeply rooted that I decided that they were just a part of me now.
To keep a very long story short, I was "abandoned" by many of whom I called "friend" on multiple occasions sometimes without warning or reason, so my trust in people slipped away each time it happened.
It soon became subconsciously hard for me to believe in the legitimacy of people's smiles, laughs, compliments, promises, & generosity.
Because I lost so much trust in people I soon didn't want anything to do with them.
The world is a mix of good & bad people, and I guess drew the short straw an ended up meeting a lot of "bad" people. But I eventually came to understand this & attempted to self-fix my social anxiety (_not as easy as it sounds_ xD).
Now I enjoy public speaking, presenting, or even teaching because it forces me out of my comfort zone. And I know that the further out of that zone I go the less visible my once limiting boundary becomes when I look back.
Though I will say socializing in general is still mentally draining, I still get flustered easily, & continue to be the awkward guy in the group but you know what? Compared to how I was, I'll keep these little querks anyday :P
Hmm alright, that actually sparks a few more questions. Pardon me for being so curious, haha, but why spell "my" as "mi"? Also, Why the letter N? Is it because it can stand for a lot of things? And what happens if one day someone asks who MiN is because they couldn't find this person with a Google search? What will you say? I really like the idea though, truly. To be able to read everything you say and integrate into "mi" own knowledge and being... Woah.
It's funny that I should be saying this since, like you said, even friends - that I presume you knew in real life - abandoned you, so what more people online right? But nonetheless, I'll just say that you can talk to me anytime, if not completely trust me (which is understandable... and smart for not being too trusting online). I'm sorry that people abandoned you, but hey, it's their loss. I admire you for fixing your anxiety on your own. I couldn't do it even with support from my parents and friends. Maybe because our anxieties were rooted from different things, but still. Happy to hear you're improving. :)
And y'know what? Socialising drains me too. Maybe we're introverts, but don't let society influence you with their stigmas; there's nothing wrong with being an introvert. Just saying it now in case you hold the belief that introvert = bad.
