I believe the different size tires are because of differences in gear ratio between front and read drives. The first Suzuki Quads all had larger back tires for traction while pulling. They were originally marketed as play and work vehicles that could even pull a small plow.
Stay away from deep water with this one. Your engine is already leaking oil. Water will get in and poof goes the engine plus all your electrical will go bad. Remount the oil cooler on top of the front rack. Keep the u joints clean lubed.
