Hey Mark, I just wanted to let you know that your car is the reason why I started to love Datsun Z's. So thanks for showing your Z to the world! Looking forward to seeing more videos.
+Erick Barragan Same here, I'd never heard of a 240z prior to seeing a photo of this car quite a few years ago now. I'm on the market to get my own now.
Understood. If you ever make an otherone. I’m very interested. Right now building a 240z with rb26. Your car is from time tot time an example, great car. Cheers, George (The Netherlands)
zzz cars are way funner to drive than muscle cars ..how do I know ..all 6 of the cars sat 3 `` off the ground w/ speeed rated tires and wheels the z never sat .. r.i.p 260 z
I am wanting to build a project car for a while now and I want to choose a 240z with rb26 swap instead of getting a muscle car with a big nat. asp. motor. A proper Z will cost around 10k here, no rust. Maybe without the motor I can buy it for less but do you know what the estimated price of a project is? So let's say if I have the body, without rust etc. how much is the rest going to cost me? RB26 (stock), new coils, new brakes, maybe new steering. Do you have any idea so I can prepare myself for the costs?
+Bas van Wingerden Doing an RB swap in a Z is not a one size fits all build. Costing it out requires research specific to the build you're doing. I have well over $30k into swapping an SR20 into my 510, but I've seen guys do it for under $4k. The actual cost of a project like this is absolutely dictated by your end goal. As you know, swapping the motor is one thing, but doing it right is a whole other can of fish. Unlike the SR swap, the RB does not have the same after market support, so must of the cost is in fabrication. The more you can do yourself, the less it will cost, but that's only one variable in the whole equation. You'll only have a sense of what your build will cost when you do the research. All that being said, Oh my god would I love to do and RB Z.
do yoo have a oil cooler for the turbo .. cheep turbo cheep bearrings..run thicker oil? sweet ass z car ... dialed an soo fast I `m sure,, do you piss people off at the track with that thing..? some times 700 hp ...perfect for a 2600 lb. z car bet it handles like a road magnet.how bout some canyon or track footage ..? mad hanaling luv it sic nice ending... this popped up as I was looking at Italian tractors.
Fuuuuuck, that's amazing man, I'm strongly considering this swap over the SR20 that I was initially going to do. Was this an easy swap and tune or was it challenging?
yes. i shot the footage for a specific purpose and so much of the voiceover was a discussion about design. This edit you are seeing has some of that voiceover left over. If you don't like it then turn off the sound.
Hey wondering if you ever had the car weighed after the conversion with everything in etc. About to finish my 280 26dett conversion and am interested as to what to expect. Thanks
yes boring sit down .shut up and hang on 170 mph is not boring..alll passengers disembarking flight z 240 to Austin to denver please check your shorts before entering the bagage claim area.. is the VQ the pathfinder , motor ? would the all drive hubs handle 130 plus mph that my plan.. zt r with all drive.oooo how boring in the corners at 90 mph...on snow..os giken is coming keep the Inline 6 ,s alive.
Awesome car
Damn, i swear some of the best 240z I’ve seen are in Texas. First a green Z, then this beauty. 🤤

Definitely a purposeful sound! That is the most awesome of all awesome Datsuns here on youtube
i've loved this car ever since i saw it featured in super
street years ago. keep it up.
When you come to any auto show in Dallas TX area? Want to see this beuty beast in person...
there are two turbos already. Garrett 2871s. There is no shortage of power at 702whp.
the original firewall is still there. There are enough pass-through holes, wires, and tubes that I decided to cover it for aesthetic reasons.
what must I be doing in life to have that garage and a car similar to yours.
No music💖
Anyone an idea where you can get this valve cover? It’s fantastic.
it's a custom one-off I cut on my company's CNC machine.
argodesign you can make one? What will be the costs?
sorry. The business is not set up to make car parts. It would be prohibitively expensive.

@@argodesign found a company who wants to make one. Do you have the files/drawings for the CNC machine available?
You could have built anything else. You had me at datsun and rb26det

r.i.p 260 z
depends. what auto show would that be?
Do you have details on your carbon fiber firewall/cover. Do you still have the original firewall in place and is it just a cover to hide wires/hoses?

What kind of exhaust manifolds and what kind of turbos are you using? +markrolston
Mark Rolston What other engine mods do you have? are there any new internals or is it stock inside?
Would you be able to put another turbo in, or is there not enough room?
Down town Austin?
Where did you find that hood and those fenders??? Or did you make them?
is that a harbor freight jack? how's it holding up?
Did the RB just fit right in or did you have to mess around with the motor mounts?
Angel Galvan Yea, ne had to " mess " around with the motor mounts.....lmao!
@ markrolston hi.. Did you change the engine mounts of the RB26 to fit in the 240z? if so where can I get one? nice Z by way..
