My wife and I had no problems with the crowds when we went in September ‘19 and it was a highlight of our entire European trip. The boat situation is a little rough at first and we only did one Gondola ride as it was expensive. Alternatively You can take a larger gondola and split the fare with other tourists and they will sometimes have professional musician’s or singers on the boats which we could hear from our hotel at night and it was beautiful. Side note tho...we did not expect mosquitos! Nobody told us about them and they absolutely ravaged us. Have fun!
@@ardi08 yeah, lack of proper plumbing is a good way to catch weird diseases, at least in Venice there's no risk of the raw sewage getting into the drinking water.
I agree about Pisa. There's not much apart from the Leaning Tower. There's the Doumo which has a singular red column. According to my tour guide legend has it if a woman stares at that red column for a minute her spouse will be faithful...for the next 24 hours. Afterwards just walk around, eat a meal and head straight to the bus. Yes I was one of those tourists with the eyerolling photo op. 😅
Is not only the tower, the duomo is not even red, idk what you visited. The duomo has the same color as the tower. The battistero + duomo + tower is an unique thing. You have even to look the history and architecture.
Having been to Copenhagen recently, the Little Mermaid statue is the definition of overrated. It's just a small vandalized statue with a poor view behind.
I got ripped off by a lady working in the gift shop at the Leaning Tower, didn’t realise until afterwards! Venice is amazing and I was fortunate enough to visit on a day when there were no cruise ship arrivals. It’s so easy to get lost and disoriented there though and google maps wasn’t much help!
Clearly aimed at a special kind of US American tourists (and other ignorant people from around the world). Walking 30-40 minutes to a castle through beautiful, car-free landscape??! Unimaginable! A car-free city??! More walking??! No way! A small statue??! A not so tall tower??! A small painting??! Bigger is always better! Nothing to see in Pisa, it's just a tower!! (Well, except for the magnificent Duomo and the Baptistery right next to it!)
Both in London at the changing of the guards on a trip with friends and in the Louvre at the Mona Lisa on a school trip I was lucky to be able to stand before the crowd and on a special spot to watch both things, because of my disability. In London, I first didn't want to see the changing of the guards tho bcuz too early ;p But some of my group I went to London with wanted to see and so me and the ones who didn't feel the necessity to see it decided to meet them afterwards at the park nearby the palace, but just that day was a rly long and special changing of the guards, and I aswell as my friend in wheelchair were escorted by police on horse to our special spot during a moment of silence, haha. It was nice. Traveling with wheelchairs is something special, and can let you experience things normal people can't. :D
I love this video concept! I do disagree about Neuschwanstein, specifically because the region is exceptionally beautiful. Rather than your the castle we walked the grounds. I would've loved to swim or kayak in the lake, which is stunning. And we were able to drive right up to Schwangau to park (Parkplatz P2 Königsschlösser). It is less than a mile walk from there up to the castle! I also disagree about Venice because I love the idea of walking all those little bridges :). Basically people who enjoy walking can overlook those two anti-recommendations!!
Venice probably doesn't have the best accessibility options (at least, it didn't when I went but that was a while ago) but for me three lack of cars is a massive plus. It feels amazing to walk down streets that are designed for walking down not driving down. Plus if you go to virtually any small town in Europe you can expect a lot of walking, and that's good.
I adored Venice. It was crazy to go to a place where you couldn’t go hear cars for miles. Also I went during the Carnival season and honestly, it really wasn’t too bad crowd wise.
How can a unique prehistoric monument be overrated? That's a bit like saying Pompeji is overrated because all the buildings are destroyed. I think the only thing that's overrated is applying some kind of arbitrary, superficial "rating" to cultural and natural sites that mean a lot to many different people for various reasons. Have you even been to some of the many churches and museums in Venice, or did you just buy an overpriced espresso in Piazza San Marco? Also, don't confuse the ignorant behaviour of some tourists (i. e. in the Louvre) with the meaning and significance of art, architecture, and nature.
I agree with most of them, but like others have mentioned, Venice isn't overrated, overcrowded yes but it has such a unique charm. There's ways to beat the crowds, always stay in Venice, and reverse commute, during the day go to other lagoon islands or other places on the mainland, returning in the late afternoon/evening when all the daytrippers have left. You can also just go when its flooded lol Stonehenge is not worth paying to go in and see it, so yes its overrated. You used to be able to just see it from the road but I think they've changed things since I last did a drive by. But Little Mermaid or just stopping in front of Buckingham Palace for a few pics, then carry on, is totally free.....I wouldn't alter my itinerary for them though, but if you're already in the area, its not going to hurt you.
1:25 Idk about you but the Stonehedge is in my bucketlist. I agree tho that the traffic noise would be an annoyance. Why destroy that beautiful field with death machines?
I strongly disagree with her list. The community standards took off my first post. I started going to Europe in 1957. Now 82 years young. Been to most of these 10 and 100 more. Don't believe this list. So much more to do in all these places. I din't understand the purpose of this youtube. If I were in charge I would delete her opinion. Took my family to most of these too. Great memories.
I so disagree with Venice, it has a vibe like no other, you can easily get out of the crowds by venturing into the charming streets and going to the places where locals hang out, not to mention off season, it's cheaper too! For anyone that hasn't visited Venice I highly recommend you do so it's a one of a kind experience and by far the best trip I've ever been on
1. This may be because I am European (English), but why do you always complain about walking? The only time I have heard someone moan about walking is my mother who has 2 slipped discs, arthritis in near-every joint in her body, and a torn muscle in her ankle. And that is after an hour or two. 30 mins of walking won't make you collapse, it is healthy and good for the environment. 2. Venice? Really? I have seen stretches in travel, but *Venice?* Also, you can bypass most of the tourism by going in April-May and September-October.
I love all the “enlightened Europeans” insulting the US and Americans, when this YT channel is based in Montreal, Canada. For a group of people who advertise themselves as so “worldly and cultured” you seem to forget that Canadians exist too.

@@davidz2808 well, if you measure your travel experience in the number of pictures you take, there are plenty of rewarding motives around the piazza del duomo - not just the tower (which is certainly one of the most beautiful campaniles in italy). there's the magnificent cathedral, the baptistery, the campo santo. the botanical garden is also very beautiful. you can spend a very fulfilling day in pisa - provided you are a bit interested in architecture and history. for everyone else one pic may be enough.

It is not building size wall art. That is the point. Someone bothered to pour themselves into it's creation hundreds of years ago. With passion, love and flair. Oh, and there are other people there. Who aren't you. Stonehenge. Thousands of years old. A major indicator of early civilisation and culture. If you think this is just a bunch of stones then stay (at) home. You're not needed or wanted here. This isn't Vegas... This wasn't build this century. This is humanity, art, passion, creativity, struggle. History. Look it up. It's between heretic and neanderthal.

I’ve heard that the Taj Mahal, in India, has the same problem... When we look at these pictures of Stonehenge that Mojo just showed us, we can already see that the real thing is not like in the postcards...

Have fun!
Gondolas in Venice. Most overpriced and overrated experience
"Hey you, monument, do a flip"
Haha an hour of walking?? Agree about Venice but that is weak.
The Mona Lisa is beautiful!!! She deserves the hype!!
You forgot Venice smells like a bad men's room ,
Most toilets in the city just flush straight out into the canals... yeah. 🤢
@@joermnyc What? It's like in many developing countries
@@ardi08 yeah, lack of proper plumbing is a good way to catch weird diseases, at least in Venice there's no risk of the raw sewage getting into the drinking water.
I love you Italy beautiful and natural beautiful clean rich country Italy 🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹

I disagree with most of these because you have to realize the history or architecture otherwise nearly every tourist spot is boring
The Russian Cold War gulags are really overrated as a tourist destination
You can also just go when its flooded lol
Stonehenge is not worth paying to go in and see it, so yes its overrated.
Louvre is already worth to visit w/o Mona Lisa, so about the painting, why not just take a look while being there?
1:25 Idk about you but the Stonehedge is in my bucketlist. I agree tho that the traffic noise would be an annoyance. Why destroy that beautiful field with death machines?
I strongly disagree with her list. The community standards took off my first post. I started going to Europe in 1957. Now 82 years young. Been to most of these 10 and 100 more. Don't believe this list. So much more to do in all these places. I din't understand the purpose of this youtube. If I were in charge I would delete her opinion. Took my family to most of these too. Great memories.
I took an hour train ride to Pisa and it was pretty cool being at the top of the Tower of Pisa and seeing the old architecture
If i ever go to europe, is definitely going to be in the eastern part, where no tourist go.
what countries do you have in mind?
"What about Serbia just an opinion .?!"
There is tourists in these places, but lots are from nearby
Totally get why you put Venice, but respectfully disagree.
London, Paris, New York , Rome, Madrid (overrated)
Lisbon, Düsseldorf, Croatia, Montenegro, Tenerife (underrated)
we will soon to explore and thank you for your lovely sharing video 👍😍🇰🇭
I so disagree with Venice, it has a vibe like no other, you can easily get out of the crowds by venturing into the charming streets and going to the places where locals hang out, not to mention off season, it's cheaper too! For anyone that hasn't visited Venice I highly recommend you do so it's a one of a kind experience and by far the best trip I've ever been on
They said Europe was Boring, meanwhile there are people like me who have never even left the country since they were born
I can agree the Mona Lisa is NOT worth a visit. It was one of the biggest disappointments I've ever had while traveling
Do one about North America cuz its more overated than Europe.
Nice content and awesome descrption........well done guys!!!!!!
I love all the “enlightened Europeans” insulting the US and Americans, when this YT channel is based in Montreal, Canada. For a group of people who advertise themselves as so “worldly and cultured” you seem to forget that Canadians exist too.
Im not european or american but i think asia tour is better than europe tour. Cuz asia is cheap eu is expensive.
In eu, you will see churches. In asia, you will see hundreds of different thing.
Ann Frank huis. You're conveyer-belted thru an empty building with hundreds of others. No time to pause and take it in. Its hard to do a
on site gift shop that isn't in bad taste but they do so anyway.
Still better than than all the American attractions combined
If we are excluding national parks then yes.
So much ignorance and hate.
@@jeandane.6156 kinda lol
@@giuliocataldo474 I am actually talking about U.
@@jeandane.6156 i know It, It just pisses me off how they talk a lot about Europe and not about the Americas, which have in my opinion a lot of overrated attractions or at least they seem to be so here in Italy. I don't know how to explain this, it's kinda like a Chinese that talks about the most polluted places in Scandinavia
I really disagree with the Louvre, it was one of the things i loved the most when i visited Paris, on the other side the eiffel tower is nothing special, at least for me obviously.
I think she was focusing on the Mona Lisa specifically not the Louvre as a whole
Thanks for this list, means less tourists and more space for those who appreciate these sights.
I gotta say, I completely disagree about the Moulin Rouge! I had a blast personally, and it was relatively affordable for a show (we did get good seats).
Trust me, I’ll go somewhere else next time, but it was worth it for the couple of days I had in Paris.
Venecia. realy you can't walk for 1 day... 🤨
I walked through flooded Venice for 3 days and it was a surreal experience like no other! I'd do it again in a heartbeat 😍🥺
From what I've heard about Venice, it's dirty, crowded and expensive. No thank you.
I want to disagree with one attraction mentioned.
The London Eye was one of the best attractions in London. Everyone was friendly. We all took each other’s picture. There are maps the point to other sites to see. The view of Parliament is fabulous.
How can you say that about Pisa and not the effeil tower,
Pisa is only for one pic and goodbye 🤣
When you're an ignorant tourist, then yes.
@@GustafGouda What else is there to do in Pisa?
@@davidz2808 well, if you measure your travel experience in the number of pictures you take, there are plenty of rewarding motives around the piazza del duomo - not just the tower (which is certainly one of the most beautiful campaniles in italy). there's the magnificent cathedral, the baptistery, the campo santo. the botanical garden is also very beautiful. you can spend a very fulfilling day in pisa - provided you are a bit interested in architecture and history. for everyone else one pic may be enough.
I don't agree with Venice but overall you guys are right!
I’ve been to Neuschwanstein castle. There wasn’t a long transit. To get there.
American channel just being jealous at Europe hahaha
If you want something big than historical, go to Vegas or Dubai.
Neuschwanstein, Venice and Pisa at least are definitely not overrated
I actually just feel bad for Mojo Travels and anyone who is so jaded they can’t enjoy the wonders listed here. I’ve been to all but two of them and they’re all more than worth seeing and some are absolutely stunning. And Venice, it’s probably the most wondrous and magical place I’ve visited in travels to more than forty countries. If Venice doesn’t charm you and fill you with wonder, even with the hordes, there’s something wrong with you. Not Venice.
I love you Europe Europe country is the world no 1 most expensive beautiful sweet very very nice wonderful I love Europe culter I love Europe culter I love Europe food I love Europe arechture Europe is the haven in the world Europe is the my all time favourite continent in the world mojo travel
Agree with the entire list (and I've been to most of them) except Venice, which I feel is beautiful and worth it in spite of the crowds.
No, mojo. Bad! Bad mojo!!
Where to begin? Here goes.
Venice is expensive. Yes. And? There are people there. No s sherlock. I wonder why? This isn't Vegas. This is real, authentic, culture and history. Not plastic. Not air conditioned, pampered, abandoned, free and you are not carried around on a sedan chair.
The "Moanahleeza" is a painting.
I agree mona lisa is vvvv overrated....nothing special at all..
It seems to me that the matter all of these is that they look better in pictures than in reality... Except for the Newschwanstein Castle, with which the matter is the “journey” getting there. I’ve heard that the Taj Mahal, in India, has the same problem...
When we look at these pictures of Stonehenge that Mojo just showed us, we can already see that the real thing is not like in the postcards...
Oh God there are tourists... Visiting landmarks... How spooky
Okay...Thanks Majo Travel 😅 Maybe it's just culture differences
Make a video of my home town Los Angeles!
Most overrated tourist attractions in the US-
*the whole country*
You've never been then. This is pretty ignorant and hateful thing to say...I guess it would be best for you never to travel to see it. You probably wouldn't behave like a good tourist anyhow.
Just because you do not tip in your country doesn't mean you disregard it in others.
Ignorance should stay home
@@runawaytechgal1467 Agreed!

I don't poke fun of any country that I have never stepped foot on...it seems petty and unnecessary.
If these folks haven't visited your country and call it overrated then call them on that.
Lol this is a canadian channel not an american channel. I have never been to europe and the tourist spots mentioned in this video so I can't say anything about these places but bringing US into this is ridiculous.
Traditional tourist attraction are place full of culture so it doesn't always have to be beautiful - it's meaningful.....
I don't like crowds either but it's just movies (American mostly) that make the illusion that you can have an romantic all alone views of famous places.....
Walking well Europe does walk a lot and I think people are fine with it.
I don't like either the list or the tone .....also you can say that about any place that was overused and shown in movies/series differently that is actually is (Egyptian piramids, great Wall of China, Rodeo Drive or any other place people romanticise , what to be alone at, see at sunrise/sunset etc) It is called a "tourist attractions " after all and not an "obscure stunning location - for your eyes only".
Oh Good, Piz Gloria in Switzerland isn't on the list, as I dream to someday go there and visit the James Bond museum there.

Your arguments against these landmarks could be said about anything, you should make a top overrated American visits!!! I could name 100 right now!
Everything during the high season kinda sucks
I disagree with almost all.
You forgot Manneke Pis in Brussels, the Eiffel Tower in Paris, Trevi Fountain in Rome and anything in Amsterdam.

The Eiffel Tower has a very good view of Paris from the top.
