The microphone is actually designed to be pressed into operator's cheek by its rubber «stalk». This way, it gets only the sounds of speech, and no wind or gunfire. There is another version which has microphones pressed against throat
Hello! I bought a R-126 radio that had a mechanical problem with the transmission button i was able to fix and there is power all the way through the radio but still only silence, can it maybe be the TO-3 transistors that need to be changed and what kind of type and voltage is it in the R-126 if you know that? I know it’s a long shot and that it’s hard to find a solution with this little info so ask away if you need more details! Best regards

@@arenaengineering8070 thank you very much for the reply! What exactly are adapter holders? Can i connect them with crocodile cables, the small ones ofc?
@@destructive1220 Yes, it can be connected on wires with crocodiles, but with strict observance of polarity. In the P126 radio station, the batteries are connected in series, forming a bipolar power supply with a midpoint: +1.5 V, ground, -1.5 V. Use the service manual.
This author "reviews" great and really interesting tech, but he really lacks technical knowledge and is quick to judge things based on his poor understanding. First of all, batteries aren't lead but silver-zinc, with combined capacity of 12 ampere-hours, the microphone isn't short because it is a "cheek phone" and button "for lighting" is not intended to be pressed by anything except the screw cap and it is for turning light off, not on. Author looks strongly biased and really ignorant, judging only by outside looks and his wrong conclusions.
That's a very versatile antenna design.
