I have just watched this YT video about Tajikistan's capital, Dushanbe. Where i spent a few days more than 40 yrs ago - then during the Soviet era. All the cars in the streets not only Soviet produced Volga and Moskowitch, but far more like western world-products. If I ever could re-experienced a stay right there... .

Thank you for showing us around in the beautiful city of Dushanbe. I sort of knew Tajikistan was beautiful but had no clear idea of specific places, so I loved watching this. 😻 Also, I kind of relate to what you said about some fears or uncomfortable feelings that one may get when older. When I was in Iran, where I had one of my most fantastic travel experiences ever, l remember entering the Grand Bazaar in Tehran, a bazaar that is so gigantic and was so busy but at the same time so fascinating and I wanted nothing more than to see all of it (which is practically impossible I reckon). But the further I got into this incredible maze of the bazaar and the further I got away from seeing the entrances, the more this conflicted and claustrophobic feeling arose that I was getting lost and needed to get out. I tried to ignore the feeling because I was so smitten by everything inside of the bazaar, but then the uncomfortable took over and I got outside through the first exit that I found. Another similar “fear” I experienced in Guajimico, Cuba. I used to be able to swim without any fear in deep waters and all that, but when I was in Guajimico, you had this amazingly blue waters that was kind of wild and so beautiful. However, there were no beaches there so you kind of had to jump off rough stone edges to get into the water. Which I did, because I thought: I can swim and my friends were already in the water so why not? The moment I got into the wild but beautiful blue water, I was instantly afraid that I would somehow drown. So I started breathing heavily and said to my friends: I need to get out now. They helped me get to the side so I could climb up those sharp stone edges and was so flabbergasted why I felt that way. This also makes me suspect that I might be developing more “fears” as I get older. Feelings that I don’t think I experienced before. 🫣 Anyway, can’t wait to watch your next video! 😊
It’s true. Even one’s nerves get older-weaker and more frail. We have to hope people around us respect the elderly, and the wisdom they bring. Getting old is not for those of weak faith in God!
Not only the women are beautiful, all the people look down to earth, and the architecture of the mosques and government buildings and landscape itself inspires meditation and thanking our creator for such beauty, and the intelligence and passion of this country's people. Your video is wonderful -- travel via someone else's eyes, who was actually there, is wonderful. I have traveled to Europe, South America, Japan, the Caribbean and Oceania, and wish I had video equipment back then, I only had a still camera.
Wow! Dushanbe reminds me a bit of Almaty, but the buildings are a bit more refined, and intricate, the streets and pavements are a bit more cleaner, the grass, trees, and flowers a bit more fuller and colorful. So basically a bit more charming than it's Central Asian city counterparts.
You are really completely liberated from your fears and grief if any 👏.Estimable Syifa ji. The wonderful golden period flashing you and doing most exploring the great out door travelling around world 🇮🇳🙏.

Hi Syifa, thanks for this very enjoyable travelog! I found it very interesting to compare Dushanbe to Tashkent and Samarqand. The architecture is similar in type, but there are different styles and they use different materials. In UZ the mosques were all in shades of turquoise and blue, in Tajikistan they are yellow/tan coloured. You remarked on the cassette ceilings - I saw lots of them in Samarqand. But maybe that has to do with the fact that people in Samarqand at mostly ethnic Tajiks. My guide from UZ spoke both Uzbek and Tajik, as well as Russian, of course. And his 'guide language' was German, with a strong Bavarian accent 😄(he had studied in Munich). We had fun, me teaching him all sorts of Bavarian and Austrian expressions. 😉 Looking forward to your next adventure.
It was a surprise to see Ferzona in your video! Yes, she became a tour guide and this summer she took me and my son to the Hissar Fortress as our guide. She's a wonderful person! It was a pleasure to see the streets of Dushanbe and I recognized most of the places you were walking in down Rudaki Ave., including the Rohat Tea House. I agree with you, Dushanbe is a relaxed city, and so too are the smaller towns that I went to, everyone was friendly to me. Thank you for this video
Watching your videos, I guess there's nowhere in Southern Asia you can see such neatness and order as we get to see in Central Asian countries. Southern Asian countries are messy and unclean. It must have to do with its people. Mine doesn't want to be destructive criticism. I hope they wake up someday and will have elevated civic sense that may reflect their cities and their streets. Overpopulation is also another dilemma that hinders best practices.

I am from Tajikistan. Thank you for this beautiful video 🇹🇯🇹🇯🇹🇯🇹🇯🇹🇯🇹🇯🇹🇯🇹🇯🇹🇯🇹🇯🇹🇯❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I'm from Samarkand. Thank you for the interesting blog about Dushanbe in English.
Looks just like Iran, and the people look like Iranians in Iran. I know Tajiks are Iranians as well, but you can see its in the genes the way they look, they way design their parks, the city, the cleanliness, it's another Iran. Love to Western, and Eastern Iranians.
I really enjoyed this video, very informative and excellent quality audio and video. Brave of you to travel alone too.

Nice to hear about Tazakistan by Andriana. Good. All the BEST for your profession
I wish that you had showed the beautiful inside of Navruz Palace and the boating and water fun behind it.
Looking forward to your next adventure.
Tajiks are more in Afghanistan then Tajikistan or Samarkand and Bukhara
Приезжайте к нам в Таджикистан гости мы будем рады вас видеть у себя дома❤
A beautiful and very interesting video (yet again).
0:55 Are you concentrating on the most scenic areas or is most the city this beautiful? Wow.
Language of Tajikistan and Iran Are Same But In Tajikistan The accent is Heavier and some Russian words are used
Great 👍 explore and perfect presentation my country ❤❤❤ and thanks 🙏
The way of exploring the country is superb
Superb 👌 ❤. Great to see this beautiful country. Great job
Конечно, во всех странах есть красивые люди, но я согласна девушки из Таджикистана очень красивые 😍
