I find it refreshing to hear a sales guy admit he's a hack at actually running a machine, none the less, you've done a pretty good job " draining the swamp".
Not bad for a salesman! I have owned a Komatsu 55, Volvo 58 that burnt and I replaced with a Kx057-4 last year and I love it so far. They are strong and smooth and the price is comparable. Also looks good beside my M8560! Keep up the good videos
We bought one in 2008.We were told that there were only 2 in the U.S.at the time. It was a nice machine and was the right size for the work we did. Used the KX-080 for pipe laying and dug a lot with it. I sure wish we had not sold it.
We put in utilities such as water, storm, and sanitary. These size machines are game changers for us. I'll be looking at Kubota when we purchase more equipment.
I was going to come by and buy that one. Now you have it all muddy. Who wants a dirty machine? :) Just kidding. I can't start mine without getting dirt everywhere. It's half the fun! That KX080 is one sweet machine. Great video!
I have run an 80 five years now and really like it. most of the time i dig with the blade behind me so i don't have to look over it the machine is heavy enough that unless i'm on uneven ground i let the blade in the air. the angle blade and thumb are a must have.
Want more videos about the KX-080. Can you make one on complete maintenance (grease, oil, filters...) and one on all available options? (BTW the available options videos should be made for every equipment. Many, many salesman don't even know the options of their products... Demo cage, types of tracks, front/rear lights, wipers, hydraulics, attachements...)
I'm kinda working on options as we sell things. Would not be a very interesting video of me just listing stuff. I agree with you its an important thing to do. Information on that stuff is really lacking.
I've owned a ko80-4 since 2013, a excellent machine, we have other excavators, but the ko80 is our go to machine for most jobs! Love it. I'd love it if Kubota would make bigger excavator, like a 15 ton! Hint hint. I'd own one in a second!
i Have kubota kx 121-3 i keep having the bucket pin breaking any idea if kubota fixed this issue with the pins breaking at 200.00 plus it get expensive. i think has something to do with the thumb. it is a factory thumb
Kubota should REALLY stand out and put a six way blade on the 080 like they do on the 040!!! I've got a 121-3 with the six way and it is by far the best option money can buy!!! Get with it Kubota.
I know it's bad to digging while your back Sprocket was in front but, if is mini excavator i think there will be no problem So you can put your blade in the back for better view when you are digging
I have a 2016 kx080-4 is there a button to push or something to travel faster or something I know some machines have a button for faster travel 2 speed?
Should have used the dirt to bring the low spots up, as for angle blade vs. straight blade, you should have the blade behind you as you trench it simply acts like a counter weight with no loss of stability. There is no advantage going with the straight blade other than price and less weight.
Feel free to blast me cause I'm not an excavator operator but you seem to raise the front quite a bit while digging . Is this because your digging at almost the length of the boom or what ?? I'm going to rent a small 3 ton machine first and then work my way up. Overall you do a fine job. ( I have a Kubota tractor and RTV - both are great )
Messick Farm Equipment hyundai.... whoa I’m not sure i like that, could you do a review of those when you guys get any in? If it’s too much to ask I understand! Thanks for the videos!
I'll be interested to see what happens. From the sound of it the relationship between New Holland and Hyundai, is much closer than kobelco. It's more of a joint venture as opposed to a supplier relationship.
The pin design on the Kubota quick coupler IS NOT going to stay "nice and tight" as you say Mr. salesman. I have one on my 121-3 and it has less than 1,000 hours on it and I ALREADY have to shake the bucket as I install the pin to get it to line up! How the hell is anyone going to shake the bucket on an 080 to get that pin to line up??? The pin is replaceable, yes, but the holes in the bucket and the quick coupler have NO bushings, don't tell me that holes in steel on an excavator bucket are not going to wear! That's why they put bushings on pin holes where the bucket pivots, BECAUSE THEY WEAR! Don't get me wrong, I love my Kubota and am looking at buying an 080, but I am ordering it with a Craig coupler and bucket with the wedge design (like the Canadian 080's and John Deere) yes, you have to use a wrench to change buckets, but that wedge will "adjust" to wear just by design alone. The JD I had a few years ago had about 2K hours on it and the bucket was as tight when I sold it as the day I bought it!
We sell 70-80 excavators with that coupler system every year. I can count on one hand the number of people who choose to use another style. It is nice that couplers can be so easily matched to any machine you like.
In Canada we have the wedge system like you said, it's really great and a bolt is super cheap to replace, however if it's not popular where you live you might have to buy all your accessories new

Damn good salesman you know your stuff. Have a kx057-4 and svl75-2 and love both of them

Mike Dobronos don't bother with a cat mate heeps of crap.
I got to sit in one at my dealer last week, they are sweet! A lot bigger and more stout than my 057
Great machine. Good stability and amazing grunt for an 8 tonner!
Great point about angle blade, never thought of it that way
I was going to come by and buy that one. Now you have it all muddy. Who wants a dirty machine? :) Just kidding. I can't start mine without getting dirt everywhere. It's half the fun! That KX080 is one sweet machine. Great video!
Very informative mate. Watching this vid at Chillagoe, North Queensland, Australia.

Great video! Kubota is strong here in the Pacific Northwest.

i think covid killed kubota off from building a larger machine im waiting for my new loader every thing is slow
i Have kubota kx 121-3 i keep having the bucket pin breaking any idea if kubota fixed this issue with the pins breaking at 200.00 plus it get expensive. i think has something to do with the thumb. it is a factory thumb
Nice!!
Does kubota still make the super double boom
Kubota should REALLY stand out and put a six way blade on the 080 like they do on the 040!!! I've got a 121-3 with the six way and it is by far the best option money can buy!!! Get with it Kubota.
Would be cool for sure.
How is this machine with clearing small Lots?
Wish you guys would move towards TN, Would love to give you the business and have the local service and sales.
What would be good for the blade out front is run a GO PRO on the boom so it faces theblade some how then u will be able to get close to the bucket
i got a extra counter wheight on my 080 so they do have around a extra 1000 lbs if you want
I know it's bad to digging while your back Sprocket was in front but, if is mini excavator i think there will be no problem
So you can put your blade in the back for better view when you are digging
Excellent Job!!! lol
cool
I'm running a U-25 now,Time to upgrade to an 80,im on the hunt.NOT selling the 25 either.
So if you turn off the aux flow for the thumb, will that have the bucket increase flow for faster dump and pick up speeds?
No, different circuits
Just put in an order for this
Kubota have been making mid size excavator for a while, they had the kx 191 in 1988
That was the size of the current KX057, This is about 50% larger than that.
@@MessicksEquip sorry I meant kh191 it was a 7 ton machine wasn't the 161 replaced by the 057 ?
Whats the difference between the super series and super series 2?
Green side up when laying sod
I’d say you’re pretty darn good operate I am pretty bad at it it would take me a couple hours to get used to it
I have a 2016 kx080-4 is there a button to push or something to travel faster or something I know some machines have a button for faster travel 2 speed?
its either the left hand trigger, or the button on top of the lever that moves the blade up\down. I can't recall.
@@MessicksEquip Thanks I'll have to try it out.
What is the typical size trenching bucket this machine is sold with?
12,24,36 normally.
I agree let’s see an m62

how many kubota machines do you sell ? give us your stats please

why have they not incorporated a bucket positioning system??? The technology has been available for years.
Little demand would be my guess. Available aftermarket, but little interest.
By chance- whay size and brand bucket is that with the 7 teeth? Can you ship one?
Its the Kubota OEM bucket, made by Werk Brau.
@@MessicksEquip 42"? Do you have any on hand?
We can all dream 🤤🤤😭😭
This mashing is not selling in my country
Got any info on a kh120 kubota
It's not a model we have in the US
Messick Farm Equipment do have any advise for a guy that had one
What kind of advice are you looking for???
Messick Farm Equipment general advise, got one at a auction, just looking to see if I could find any info on the thing.
Google is your friend. You will want to learn the closest US model to it. We have no resources to help.
Kobota kx080-4 vs volvo ecr88d?
Do you guys have any New Holland/Kobelco excavators?
Not currently. New Holland ended the relationship with kobelco, and is now partnered with Hyundai. We haven't picked those up yet.
Messick Farm Equipment hyundai.... whoa I’m not sure i like that, could you do a review of those when you guys get any in? If it’s too much to ask I understand! Thanks for the videos!

Messick Farm Equipment oh i see! Sort of like Hitachi and Deere ?
Pete P We have a Hyundai 180 lc7 have had good luck with it
You did for a salesman, most salesman have zero knowledge of actual operation.! Need a M62 backhoe demo like this is done !!!!!
I'm planning on it actually. I have some personal work to do, I might as well turn it into a video 😀
I like 080-4 but Takeuchi tb 290 is better :)
Tak makes a good machine, but pretty basic from what I've seen.
Messick Farm Equipment sometimes simple is better
Why is the TAK better?Let me know.Id love to here it.
i ran one digging a ditch for a gas line it works but id rather run a caterpillar

You need to get into the 21st century and fit a hydraulic quick hitch to all your machines, like we do in the UK
with as many RUclips videos these folks put out, Ya think they would return your email to the sales department! hmm
