I really like hearing you talk about your ADHD, I think I have it but have been scared to get tested because I don’t want to seem like I’m jumping on the bandwagon. Hearing you talk about your experience and how you deal with things and talk about it positively, it makes me feel seen and not like it’s all in my head! Thank you ❤️❤️
My win this week was having a job interview that went well where, even if I don't get the role, I'm so proud I asked for what I deserve financially and was super confident.
It’s become an actual ritual now on a Sunday evening that I wait for your vlog to drop, run a bubble bath and do my skin care whilst watching you 💗 I’ve been doing it for months now and I look forward to it every week. It also makes me laugh how my partner just knows the routine and will be like “Are you watching Emma?” 😂 xxxx
Emma my fav part of this weeks vlog was when you said it was time to wrap the video up but then you gave us an extra 15mins chatting time! I really appreciate that. Also LOVED the last of us, soon as I saw it was the makers of Chernobyl I knew that would be up there. Also please ignore the trolls. They have nothing better to do with themselfs, anxiety depression adhd anything of that genre had gone undiagnosed with humans for so many years that it’s only normal that every second person is diagnosed we all have some form of trauma. Please keep talking about it in your videos because you help me more than you’ll ever know! ❤❤
I love using your videos for when I need to focus or body double at work or (currently) when I need some good focus entertainment when I’m doing a long run at the gym on the treadmill. 😊
When you were talking about body doubling I would love an organise my wardrobe vid from you. I’m struggling to figure out how to organise all my clothes so just an idea. Love ya xx
Hi Emma. It's so nice to see you doing so well recently. Loved the surprise clips chatting with Helen, I watch both of your vlogs religiously! My partner saw you out and about last week but was too shocked to say hi😂
Have you thought about splitting the empties into 2 videos maybe a skin care/tan products etc video and then a makeup video if there's enough to do 2? Don't know if that would be easier to tackle 😅 My win is hitting a massive pb on the hack squat after being brave enough to ask a stranger in the gym if I could jump on after and he spotted me 😁💪
Ello lovely Emma 😊 thank you as always for sharing & providing inspiration in my own life, along with being REAL, which to me is the most important quality in being able to watch someone’s content! I’ve been a faithful viewer for over 3 years now, wow! have a great week love!
Hey Emma, just wanted to say that I really appreciate you talking about ADHD and mental health struggles in general. I think it is really important to talk about all things related mental health. There has been a stigma surrounding that for way to long and I think our generation needs to break with that. There are also really good explanations for why a lot of women your age get an ADHD diagnosis at the moment (to do with girls having different symptoms often times and the diagnosis criteria being more specific to the symptoms that are more common for boys who are therefore more likely to get a diagnosis as a child and so on) for those people that are sceptical or whatever. Read into it.
The wormhole…yep. I really related when you said you sit there in pain needing to pee - that is me. Or sitting there starving 😅 Hyper focus is great but it’s also terrible and I hate that I’m either in that state or can’t get anything done
Love the weekly wins! In every therapy session I do with my clients we start with ‘what’s been good’ because it engages our pre frontal cortex where we can be a lot more rational 😊 my weekly win has been getting more inspired with instagram for my business after a few weeks of not feeling motivated 💜
hey love, just a tip with tinted, you need to request the label as soon as the order comes through and from then you get 3-5 days to post otherwise the order auto cancels. :)
This is why I love watching your videos as I can relate - I have Tourette’s syndrome and I got diagnosed when I was 9 I have also been on my medication since I was 9. Trying to navigate through life as a child through to teenager and adult has been difficult especially when my brain is wired differently to how the “normal” brain is.
Hyper focus for me is mainly negative. Sure I get loads of stuff done but I suffer with burnout for hours if not the whole day afterwards. I too get completely stuck and don't eat, drink or pee! I'll put off cleaning for a couple of weeks and then do it all at once exhausting myself to the point I feel physically ill and end up with migraines and anxiety. 🙃
I'm autistic and had the same sort of comments too, about how 'everyone has ASD now, it's cool to be a nerd' type thing. It's so frustrating because I certainly wouldn't choose to be the way I am as it limits my life in so many ways. My mum, sister and my nephew all have ADHD (my sister was diagnosed as a child in the 80s) so I know all too well the struggles us neurodivergents face just living. Please do ignore the haters Emma, you don't need to justify what you put out of our own channel here - Eff them. My win of the week was walking to the local hospital (1.2 miles each way) and having my VitB12 injection even though it made me incredibly anxious and fatigued (I also have Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome). Anyway, thank you for your vlogs Emma, I love watching you on a Monday morning before the gym (I currently live in Dubai so have to wait until Mon to watch!) Much love x
@@EmmasRectangle you’re welcome lovely, I look up to you so much! You’ve been through a lot and still put a smile on your face🥰 and as well with weightloss, I’m determined to get to where I want to be, your initial weightloss video is very motivating for me x
I can so relate to the running late thing…I am a perpetual late person. I joke that in my will I want it to say that my kids have to wheel me in 15 minutes late. “I’ll be late to my own funeral!” Lol! It’s horrible! But I too hate when I am running on time or even early and same thing happens to make me late. I’ve come to accept that I’m always going to be late. My family even tells me events are 30 minutes early than what they really are. 😂
As sweet at it is to work at your partners home, dont get too used to it as it may effect you down the like if something in the relationship goes wiffy. Sorry to sound like a negative ninny but im my experience it was more of a loss doing something similar was a shock to my system when having to change my daily routines
Ugh the Last of Us was so great! It’s one of my all time favourite games, and so many scenes were exactly like the game, frame for frame. Not really a win but my positive thing for the week was seeing one of my friends that lives 4 hours away yesterday to have her baby shower, it was so nice. Also the end of your vlog, I’m fairly sure I also have ADHD and so many things have made sense to me since others have been talking about it and a lot of people I watch on RUclips have ADHD (like you and Helen) and I’m like ‘that makes so much sense, maybe I enjoy you both cause I think the same etc’ I love that you both talk about it❤
You need to play the Last of Us game too Emma! They've done the series bang on. It's so so good! Totally recommend. Also my weekly win was forcing myself to go the gym before work. I was so proud that I actually did it 😂 xx
You bragging about Albie doing the tiniest things is so relatable 😂 Today on FaceTime, my goddaughter said that my cats eyes are yellow and I’m like excuse me??? you’re a baby genius????
When it comes to getting rid of your products, it’d be worth looking into recycling them at Boots- they get recycled and you get Boots points, win win!
Hi Emma , I love your vlogs. Would you be willing to talk and do a video on ADHD. As I'm a 43 year old woman who's suffered with depression since I was 19 , since my late dad passed Jan last year, my anxiety has got really bad and I've gone downhill and I basically don't want to do anything. I've been reading up on ADHD as my little nephew has it and I have so many of the characteristics and ways . It's just taking the first steps to go to the Dr , which I know will be a very long journey. Mental health issues should be talked about and the people who don't want to hear about are obviously perfect and have the most amazing life's 🤔 love ya xxxx
Im a quite new watched but want to say I really really like you ( and have binged tons of your old videos in the past 2 weeks). I have an Idea because of the emptie products; maybe you can make a shorter emptie video and put the remaining products into other videos and maybe make them every quarter ( new empties and a number of old ons) so that one or two videos not that long and overwhelming. And I would really like if you could make some body double videos 😊I would enjoy that type of content.
I was going to ask on this video if u still speak to Helen Anderson and then u start talking to her! How weird is that? I’ve just started watching her because I remembered u filmed with her. I love her! And u of course. Also, there was a problem at my local Post Office too, the man said it was due to the weather and strikes, it could be the same round your area? I live in Lancashire x
I'm all for people getting diagnosed with various mental neurodiversities etc. it gives people answers and a way to reframe their life. And I can understand why some people might find it annoying to hear about. I think where some frustration might arise with people is that no two brains are exactly alike, and so the term "neurodivergent" is kind of the standard to a certain extent? I would not be surprised if literally everyone were to get screened, that ADHD/ADD/ autism/ dyslexia, etc would pop up in more people than not, so there is this frustration from people who have learned to make it work while likely silently struggling with these things of "well why do these people get to have a diagnosis and medication when I have done without". It's a similar argument for student loan debt relief "why should they have their loans forgiven when I spend 10 years eating ramen and working overtime to pay mine off". On the note of loads of influencers/non-traditional 9-5 workers getting diagnosed, again I think there is frustration from some people that people with non-traditional jobs have the time to seek professional help and diagnosis. If you work from 8-5 every week day, when the heck are you supposed to get to a doctors office to discuss these concerns. Just some things to consider to see a bit of both sides! My win this week was having a mental picture of what I wanted to make in pottery class and getting pretty close to it!
I don't have adhd so I haven't experienced the hyperfocused or 'wormhole' (lol cute) state but my boyfriend does and when he's in the zone i try to give him water and snacks...i feel bad for interrupting though. ps: doing creative things at night is elite.... i also find myself being more inspired at night and i love it, everything's quiet and it's just me and my silly little crafts
I really appreciate how you're normalizing speaking about ADHD. ADHD is part of your life and it affects you - why would it not appear in a vlog you make about your life? Seriously... people talk about when they're breaking out because their period is due, if they've got the flu, etc. Why is ADHD different? It's just another health thing to manage. I feel less alone seeing someone else determine how to manage their ADHD. Please keep including these clips! (And if people don't care, they can skip, lol)
Hi,I loved the last of us and I agree in how well done it is,fantastic, and I love your channel and your content is a A+,and it is sad if people are getting angry over real life struggles, shame on them,it must be great for all of them to be so normal without real life stuggles, makes me angry, because I bet there life isn't so perfect!!!take care Emma, keep up your good work. ❤️
I cannot stand when people comment on what other people do or don't do. Your not hurting yourself, your not hurting anyone else, you're beautiful, healthy, happy....don't pay any gross trolls any mind. They don't get to have an opinion. If they want to have their own opinion, they can start their own channel which will get shit reviews if anyone chooses to tune in for their whiney shit show they will call a channel. I'm sorry for the negativity lol but it works my very last nerve!! Keep on beautiful!!!
I really don't mean this in a negative way but aren't we sick of having to diagnose every little thing. Like the human brain is not standardised. It's like the smallest things that seem out of the norm instantly need to be explained and diagnosed. I've had people try and tell me I have autism because I used to get really anxious in new settings ?! That's literally just a normal human thing... your body and brain are unfamiliar with the environment so it's aroused and getting ready to protect you. Like not everything is that deep.
I understand where you are coming from, however as someone who has gone down the diagnoses route...I have found it very comforting and useful in understanding WHY I struggle with certain things and why things that seem so straightforward simply aren't for me sometimes. It's totally up to the individual whether they want to look into struggles that they have, but I am so glad that I have and has taken away a LOT of guilt and has also helped the people around me understand me and my behaviours better. I talk about it to help people who may feel similar, whether they are diagnosed or otherwise and will continue to do so as I find it a huge comfort when others do! Not everything is deep, correct.. but when you are low, everything can be. Brains are very complex and if there's help to be had, I say go for it.
A diagnosis is an important step in having access to resources to help love your life. In a lot of cases without it you can't get access to resources. ADHD is one of the most disregarded mental illnesses when it literally affects every aspect of a person's life and prevent them from functioning in society. So please you may be annoyed or frustrated but it doesn't affect you. Honestly we probably don't see a lot of how it affects Emma because we see snippets of her life. Don't assume and let everyone have their own journey and do what they feel it best for them. Thank you for coming to my Ted talk.
Yeah I understand why it seems everyone has ADHD now but as someone who was diagnosed at 47 I look back and think about how much kinder I would have been to myself in the past. I have quite extre ADHD which can come across like bi-polar sometimes.
I understand why do you think everyone has mental illness, but I think it is important to acknowledge that while everyone can be anxious in a new crowd or setting, someone who is living with mental illness (depression, autism, adhd etc) this disease affect their everyday life and causes them difficulties. While someone without mental illness gets in a new crowd may be anxious, but will calm down soon and cope with the difficulties easier than someone with mental illness and with these kind of illnesses the simplest tasks like getting up in the morning or eating sometimes can feel impossible to do. I think it is really important to talk about these issues and I am really thankful for Emma ❤
You might not “mean it” in a negative way but it is a negative remark. So your “good intention”isn’t necessarily enough. And it really isn’t about diagnosing every little thing, it really is the other way around! One diagnosis comes with a plethora of symptoms and there is no issue and especially NO SHAME in talking about that. What’s more, one of the criteria for each diagnosis is the extent to which a person’s functioning is impacted. Most people can get a little anxious in new environments. However not for all those people the feeling of anxiety becomes debilitating. Stop bypassing just because it doesn’t feel “real enough” for you.
My win this week is that even though I have been really ill with COVID, I have managed to pack my house up ready to move next week☺️ doesn’t sound like much, but I thought I was a right off this week… but little by little I did bits here and there and I managed to get more than I thought!!

Leaving my toxic job and starting my dream job in a nail salon!!! 🤍
Yaaay!! Happy for you love xxxx
My win this week is that even though I have been really ill with COVID, I have managed to pack my house up ready to move next week☺️ doesn’t sound like much, but I thought I was a right off this week… but little by little I did bits here and there and I managed to get more than I thought!!
Good luck with the move and well done! ☺️
