- In CyberVista's Questions That Need Answers (QTNA) video series, we tackle some of the most testable and important cybersecurity questions on a weekly basis. This week we're focused on a topic related to port mirroring.
On which of the following devices should you enable port mirroring?
A. Hub
B. Switch
C. DMZ
D. Hypervisor
That made a lot of sense! Switches have to be configured to mirror unicast traffic because they normally send such traffic to the intended destination port only. Hubs do not need such configuration (even if it were possible) because they send all traffic to all devices all the time! I have been going over the study guide from CompTIA CertMaster Learn for Network+ in prep for the exam (N10-007), and you explain port mirroring much more clearly. There is a lot they expect you to know so I am glad you're making these videos. All the best.
I have very difficult time in understanding all this concepts im preparing to take my ComptiaSec+ and this video was very helpful and well explain thank you!
I just had to stop video in the middle and give you huge compliment! HATS OFF! You got me from the first till the last second of this video! So well explained! Entertaining!
I love your presentation style, you explain issues clearly...awesome I am bowled over.....

Thank you!!!
thanks a lot!
That was great, thanks :)
nice presentation ...thank you
Thanks
I like the added scene where another of you comes in and explain the hub. Now I know what a cloning is...
wait a minute...what was the topic again? mirroring? Now I'm confuse...;-)
i'm still confused. while the original data is going to it's intended destination, we are inspecting copy of data, so what is the purpose of inspecting copy of data? b/c the original data is already on theway. ok it's fine but how we stop this data if we got something malware when we inspect the packet
can we do port mirroring with different brand switches
