I've been telling people this! They have sibling chemistry and not a single ounce of romantic chemistry. Dunkers and Jodi have more of a sibling relationship than Jodi and Harper
@Kristian Alexis like, AT ALL.. And that's saying A LOT, coming from someone who thinks ‘chemistry’ and ‘sparks’ are concepts that have become exaggerated and overindulged.
His chemistry with the girl he was paired up with in the first movie (the mean girl's best friend) was x1000 better. They should've brought her back for conflict because it was actualy believable.
I think a better conflict for this movie would’ve been Steig’s sister coming in and being the “new tall girl” at school. Having Jody be the tall girl that everyone makes fun of, but then another tall girl comes in and everyone loves her. I think that would’ve at least been interesting vs forced relationship conflict and anxiety she didn’t have in the first movie.
the way i only watch these movies through dylan so i don’t have to put myself through that torture is hysterical,, thank you dylan for putting up with this torture for us
What Dylan thought the Tall girl franchise should’ve been: “Tall girl 2. All of a sudden she’s taller. She’s 7 feet tall. She joins the NBA, but she’s not very good, she doesn’t play basket ball, and even though she’s as tall as the tallest NBA players, she’s still not good! And that’s the conflict of the movie! She should be good at something, but she’s still not! BUT! Turns out she didn’t stop growing at 7 feet! She’s now TEN FEET TALL! She’s taller than any NBA player. Dominates the league. Better than Micheal Jordan! TALL GIRL 3! She keeps growing! She’s bigger now! SHE’S THIRTY FEET TALL! Scientists don’t know what to do with her! The government’s like: SHE’S A PROBLEM!! *siren sounds* What’s that?! Siren sounds?! North Korea launched a missle?! A nuclear BOMB?! WHAT ARE WE GONNA DO?! WE’RE NOT PREPARED?! Tall girl steps up to the plane! SHES EIGHTY FEET TALL AT THIS POINT! CATCHES THE MISSLE MID-AIR AND- CALL BACK TO THE SECOND MOVIE WHERE SHE JOINS THE NBA- SHE JUMP SHOTS THE MISSLE BACK TO NORTH KOREA AND SAVES THE USA!” What it actually was: *“Tall girl with anxiety”*
I'm like 2 mins into the video and as I was reading your comment I thought you were gonna say, "What's that? Siren sounds? Yup, you guessed it! Sirenhead.. Now she's sirenhead." & then the comment was going to proceed about her being siren head lol.
@@missserenity1090 The thing is, Sabrina is actually a good actress. If you know her from Tall Girl and Girl Meets World, you probably wouldn't know that, but she has delivered amazing performances in Clouds, The Hate U Give, Short History of the Long Road (Maybe even Work It). But here it looks like she is not even trying.

Yeah ! She litterally said it, and that's why people were saying things like "homeless", "diseases", and so on. Because even if she does have a point (we should not tell someone their struggles are not real), how do you not respond to that with "there are bigger problems in life" ?
@@levisimp8115 my siblings and i actually looked it up and compared average shoe sizes to height, and since she is only 6'2, and she really did have to wear men's size 13 shoes, her feet would be absolutely massive in contrast to the rest of her body. I wanna write a script for a film called "Short Girl" but just takes this movie, flips it on its head, and dramatizes the HECK out of every living second! A movie that just takes you on a _journey_ through almost every movie genre that is out there...and for no apparent reason either!

Simply reading the Bee Movie script with some friends took QUITE a while! 🤣
hoping for the tall girl franchise to turn into a sci-fi war movie in which an 80 foot tall woman saves America by throwing a nuke like a basketball at north korea is honestly PEAK DYLAN
The “second guy” trope in Netflix films is starting to get annoying. I got it with TATBILB because it was based on a book so obviously they weren’t gonna deviate too much from the book. With kissing booth, I also got it because I loved Flynn and I thought their relationship was still cute (still ship Elle and Flynn’s brother the most though, ngl), but tall girl? What a perfect movie to break the cycle. No one was crazy about Jodi and Dunkers. They have no chemistry at all. This would’ve been a perfect franchise to break that trope and have her actually end up with the second guy or maybe even neither of them. But nope. It’s a rinse and repeat for Netflix movies I guess. 🙄 there’s more interesting plots on Reddit AITA threads..
In to all the boys he didn't have to be of a different ethnicity though. On its own I don't mind the decision of casting Jordan Fisher but the fact that Netflix cast THREE brown guys to be the second male lead that gets rejected for a white male lead... Is Netflix trying to say something?
@@pia1945 it's either brown or 'spicy white' (Kissing Booth part 2 or 3) 😂. Kennie JD coined that term though, can't take credit. The forced love trapezium is unnecessary either way
I don’t know if you’ve watched “Never Have I Ever”, but for this show in particular, even though I do ship the main character with one of the love interests, I reallyyy hope she ends up with no one and focuses on herself instead. Spoiler alert for “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend”, but this is basically the road they took and the main character Rebecca ended up focusing on herself and her passions which is amazing, but to see that trope be broken in a teen show like NHIE, where this is almost never the case, would be a big step imo.
this movie's not even about her struggles being tall, it's literally just a girl with anxiety about the school play (well, at least that's what i get from the clips in dylan's commentary)
No because that's so much better lol. Reminds me of why I like The Princess Switch. I'm desperately hoping they'll keep giving us a new twin Vanessa Hudgens every Christmas
The fact that The Short History Of The Long Road exists is prove enough that Sabrina is an EXCELLENT actress who has just signed on to the wrong projects
The plot ideas for the the Tall Girl sequels are actually dope, no lie. Sometimes I think Dylan is waiting to get picked up by some film/writing studio who stumbles across his vids, because a lot of the ideas he puts out would actually improve the films immensely.
@@17jades17 If they added a new Hudgie every movie I guarantee you it'd be as memed on as Morbius lmao, unfortunately it seems like they're just sticking with 3
Dylan's idea for the Tall Girl trilogy where she keeps growing into a giant and saves America by dunking missiles is honestly way more interesting than this whole movie😂😂
6:30: I can't believe they're trying to combat the criticism of the first movie, by having her say this. In the first movie, SHE LITERALLY said, "You think your life is hard, try wearing size 13 Nike's..."
Sabrina's chess scene would have been funnier if her character realised how lonely she was, after she delivered the line. Or, she was aware of how lonely she looks, so she delivers "i didnt see that coming" saracastically. Otherwise we dont feel like its real. Also, is the movie that great if you need to voice the characters thoughts every 5 seconds? (twilight does it ok because it was based off the book series and it worked because it was a stylistic choice across each movie, but TALL GIRL DOESNT HAVE that. So its just random & feels out of place).
@@maem7462 Actually that's not the only thing Twilight did right imo. The soundtrack was quite good and the scenery was beautiful. It's really the overall story and some casting choices that sucked. Other than that, I wouldn't consider Twilight that bad a movie.
the most unrealistic thing about this movie is that Kim is a theatre girl no apparently and she’s supposed to be popular?? Like as a theatre kid myself no theatre kids are ever popular it spans from epic weirdo to somewhat normal
i think a great idea would have been: in the first movie, after she does that wack speech, a college scout scouts her for a college basketball team and in tall girl 2, she's actually the shortest girl on the basketball team and all the girls bully her for being shorter than them. or instead, she goes to sweden and all the tall swedish people bully her for being short. something like that
the minute Dylan was like "she's gonna save her business, good for her" I was like it's definitely for a promotion, there's no way he said something nice about this crappy movie.
i love that you still call it "movie commentary monday" when in fact it's literally thursday--if not almost friday edit: yall i don't think i have a sense on time anymore
Haven't finished watching but I hate that the 'second movie boy' as dylan just called it is not only always a better match but somehow also always a POC? Like why does the POC never get to be with the main character? I'm thinking of 'to all the boys I've loved before' and 'the kissing booth'....
watching him mute the movie and just insert his own lines to make it funny, makes me want to start a petition for him to start a new series called “muting terrible movies until i love myself” that would be so funny haha tell me i’m wrong
i used to do this with my friend haha we would put on a really dumb movie and then mute it and make up the lines for different characters and it was wayyy more fun than actually watching it properly
Tall Girl could have actually been a good movie if her passion was to be a dancer, then we'd be rooting for her and also pissed that she wasn't reaching her goals and angry at people for pointing out her height as an issue. Tall people tend to have to put in a lot more work to do certain types of dance. But she's trying to regular stuff that height isn't typically a barrier to so we do not care. Anxiety wasn't an issue in the first movie so it's so disingenuous that suddenly she's having panic attacks 😑
This is so ironic because it literally happened to the main lead. She was on dance moms and Abby Lee Miller made fun of her body and height multiple times
@@anisa7591 Abby's words were "Ava, you're too tall for us today" but hardly anyone seems to recognize that she actually got kicked out because of her mom's bad attitude. I think the context of her getting kicked out isn't talked about much lol but we also don't know what happened behind the scenes and I'm sure Abby was much harsher and said worse things to her off camera
The fact that Dylan hasn't even reached halfway through the movie, and is already frustrated makes me feel agitated as well. Thank god I didn't watch it
Just saying I had a friend who had a disability where her growth was completely uncontrolled, its the opposite of dwarfism (giantism). She was like 6 foot tall in elementary school. She had to undergo loads of surgeries and they had to chemically stop her growth but she’s still like 7 foot tall now. It made her miserable. A film about that would have actually made sense. 6 foot tall for a girl is not even that tall
I'm 6ft tall, and obviously my height hasn't made my life particularly hard in the long run, but it was rough to live during puberty. I always did feel like a freak, especially when I started being interested in boys, because the beauty standard for women is to be tall... But never taller than boys. There is so few rep for het couples where the woman is taller than the man, that most of us tall girls/very small boys grow up thinking it can't exist without being super ridiculous. I gaslit myself into thinking men smaller than me (so, most of them) could never think I was desirable, and even now I still have trouble owning my body. So of course I'm not oppressed in any way, but being particularly tall is a struggle for girls, especially during teenagehood. Aren't most coming-of-age rom com movies supposed to be exactly about that?
@@mariannestrgzr9374 I would understand the struggle in puberty but Jodie is a late senior in high school. The problem is that this film way overdramatises being tall because u don’t get random strangers saying hows the weather up there every 3 seconds. Also she was just 6 foot at age like 17, there definitely would have been some taller people than her in her massive high school. I think this film just comes off quite detached and ignorant considering how rich, conventionally pretty, privileged etc Jodie is. If they had just been more self aware and didn’t act like it was the end of the world then I think people might have been more sympathetic to her insecurities. It’s like making an entire film called ‘freckled girl’ and acting like a girl can’t get any man just because she has freckles. That’s probably gonna cause more people to be insecure LOL
@laelmart Thats actually a quite insensitive statement. Thinking in that way, no matter what your misery is, there would ALWAYS be somebody else who has it much worse and its like you arent allowed to feel sad. Nobody's problems should be invalidated just because somebody has it worse. The problem with this movie is only that how much it over-dramatised the state of being tall is
@@leonamvinoy3008 Yep I agree! Obviously she’s allowed to have insecurities. It’s more that this is just a very bad film which literally says things like ‘You think your life is bad? Well I wear size 13 Nikes’ when there’s wars going on
They had potential during that scene addressing the conflict to highlight the issue of comparing struggles, in that it's invalidating and just because a persons struggle isn't the worst it doesn't mean it wasn't a struggle for them. They had a lot of opportunities to discuss mental health in a positive way too and they completely fucked everything up to the point that I don't think they were trying AT ALL. Where did the director's, producer's and writers' brain cells go?
As someone who struggles with anxiety and has social anxiety disorder, I really wasn’t happy with the way they presented her anxiety throughout the film. The voice was comical when it really shouldn’t have been as it makes light of very serious episodes. Towards the end of the film when she said that she got rid of the voice by ignoring it was such a stupid way to end it. It feels like they backed themselves into a corner with the plot line. They tried to include anxiety but had no idea how they were supposed to finish it. It was just a cheap way to present a serious issue many people, including myself, deal with. Sorry for the rant, great video as usual Dylan!
I completely agree. “Oh I’m all better now bc I did one play and was praised” that’s not how it works. They swept it under the rug making a very bad statement on how to deal with mental health.
I have social anxiety disorder and I also agree that this movie was quite terrible. But in their defense, I don't think they were trying to imply that she has an anxiety disorder. The little voice sounded more like a person just having normal anxiety, the way someone would have when taking a test or asking someone out. Everyone experiences a little anxiety here and there, it doesn't necessarily mean they have a have anxiety disorder. Just my opinion
Ehhh the movie wasn’t all that but give credit where it’s due. I wouldn’t say that voice was comical at all, just too mean girl-like when that trope was already being used through Kim and in every other teen movie. It was realistic though when they built up her anxiety about performing because that makes complete sense. Her first anxiety attack was a little too short lived with the pacing but I mean so were other parts of the movie lol. And she never ignored the voice, she said she found a temporary way to turn it down with self affirmation. That brief moment where she talked to herself logically and lovingly made sense because it’s a therapeutic technique called positive mindfulness, which was one of the first exercises my old cognitive behavioral therapist gave me. Anxiety was a side highlight in this film but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t accurate.
THIS!!! I knew the moment it was introduced that it would be some silly thing she gets over by the end. If you're going to explain what anxiety is to your young audience, maybe don't frame it as something that disappears after you give a good performance/speech? Especially since this was her OPENING NIGHT, meaning she'll have to do weeks more performances where the voice would STILL EXIST and be a problem for her.
“It is so bad, I want to give you a zero, but that’s not possible, so I give you a one.” The one being Dylan in this video, not any other part of this boring, awful movie 🤦🏽♀️
She said sometimes being a tall girl feels like it's as bad as having a terminal illness, being homeless and not knowing where your next meal is coming from. Her real disability is extreme self-pity.
what? is that really a dialogue in the movie??? damn, i am surprised twitter people haven't lost their shit over it already because thats a whole another level of tone-deaf.
They just had to make her rich too, for some reason 🤷♀but afaik it doesn't play into the plot or her character? The "flaw" she does have (according to the movie) is also so contrived. She had other flaws, but the movie didn't recognise them as such, at least not out loud, like hos she seems kind of shallow, tonedeaf, selfish... etc. I've watched several reactions to the first film and this one, and I can't recall her doing anything nice for someone else, or with someone else's best interest in mind, cus she's too self-absorbed. It's everyone else who are constantly thinking about her. A nice arc would've been her ending up realizing she's not the center of the world and that actually makes her feel less stressed out about her height, and just her self-esteem in general; she had thought everyone stares at her and judges her all the time, but in truth, nobody cares because they have their own problems; she learns to get out of her own head and to pay more attention to others, be a better friend/person/listener. Or something! That's a pretty common arc for young people if I remember correctly; coming out of teenhood, your perspective shifts to be less self-centered, typically. As for her relationship with the Dunkarooni, I mean... he had hyped up what a relationship with her would be like for years, and it might've been interesting if there is a whole thing around the actual relationship not being what he thought it would be, it was all built on daydreams and what he thought they would be like as gf/bf. Turns out, they have very different preferences and love languages. Wupps. They seem so incompatible, this is what I think would've realistically happened with their relationship after they got together.😐 Again, I haven't seen the films, just reaction videos, so pinch of salt, yadiyada.
And even if they did want to make a movie about the struggles of being a tall girl, it should be about insecurity and difficulties fitting in, but they barely touch on that in either of these movies. It's just so focused on "Oh I gEt So MuCh UnWanTEd ATtenTIon (even though I'm hot and rich)", but I can tell you as someone who grew up being a tall girl myself that it isn't about the attention, it's about feeling like you stick out like a sore thumb when you're in a crowd of girls, hunching over to avoid standing out, and generally being self-conscious of your appearance all the time. Also the struggle with femininity, because when you're bigger than all the other girls it can be hard to feel feminine.
@@tonichan89 RIGHT why are all the girls in these Netflix movies so damn rich?? Especially when they get to the college subplot, they all somehow get into these really prestigious schools and debate over which one they're going to go to, because they don't need to worry about how they'll pay. It also drives me nuts that we don't see them do an ounce of school work, and yet, they get into Harvard and Berkeley and Tufts and USC,,,,, sends such a shitty message imo
As someone who had a traumatic brain injury since I was a child, I can say that it in fact doesn't make the movie any more enjoyable. To no surprise, Tall girl 2 is impossible to enjoy XD
you know its so bad when dylan has the movie on max fast forward yet still keeps skipping pass parts of it then at some point starts watching it on mute and making his own script for it 💀💀
My best friend is a 6’1” chick with a lifelong obsession with 5”-6” tall stripper heels. And even during our awkward teen years, she NEVER had any “problems” with (or because of) her height…other than having to be careful around ceiling fans when we’re going out on the town and she decides to wear 6” heels AND jacks her hair to Jesus…🤷♀️😆). If anything, I probably deal with far more daily inconveniences due to MY height (4’8”) than she does…but most of my issues are solved by simply having a step-stool in every room of my house. 🤣
I understand that you're trying to criticize the move for how ridiculous it is but, I knew girls who were absolutely bullied for their height so it's not like it doesn't happen.
And that, my friend, is where you're wrong Remember the scene where she almost hits her head on a light? That sorta counts, don't it? But yeah, this franchise makes me want to microwave my brain

First of all he doesn't take recommendations, second it's not really about how good a movie or a series is, its about how good the movie will be for his videos. I mean it won't really be fun if he can't roast anything, lastly Euphoria have some heavy topics right? Yeah so I don't think that will fit well with the kind of videos he makes and surely he'll get backlash AGAIN when he jokes about something serious
Fun fact: she actually had a serious case of laryngitis while filming and couldn’t say any of her lines, so they decided that they’d just set the script on fire and have her do the entirety of the film in ADR
as a tall girl who sometimes gets insecure not one of my insecurities was executed properly through any moment of this whole movie- we do not claim this lmfao

FINALLY SOMEONES REVIEWING THIS MOVIE Between the characteristically droll, unrelatable, anti-climactic plotline and characters, lack of ability to connect plotlines, relationships, and characters back to its originator, toxic love interests, unnatural dialogue, plot-device fueled relationships, subpar acting, unrelatability, and offensively inaccurate portrayals of anxiety and imposter syndrome, this film made to be a worse watch than the first, and hence took me 4 hours to watch this 1.5 hour film. In this essay I will

something i've learned through all these netflix movies is that you can always tell who second movie boy is cuz he's mixed race. think tall girl, the kissing booth, to all the boys i've loved before... same shit, different font.
Oh i love how the movie felt that they did something with making a small scene showing that they were self-aware about it, and then go on to do the SAME thing for the rest of the movie.
yeah they tried to do a thing to explain that "all problems are valid" which sure, I can agree with. BUT THAT DOESNT MEAN IT HAS TO BE MADE INTO A MOVIE. And also, a plot focused on insecurities and anxiety (that's executed better) would make more sense than "oh she's just slightly above avg height". Like as an incredibly anxious person, my insecurities are not usually defined by one trait. Plus her height did not stop her from achieving any of her goals.
Even as a tall girl myself who definitely got picked on for being tall when I was younger, I was like the director of the play asking this stupid character why being tall was such a disadvantage in life. You're tall, not dying of cancer. A LOT OF PEOPLE ARE TALL even at your age, even as girls. Somehow she's in the one school where being 6ft makes her a giant that no one else measures up to. In my high school, when we took the annual all school photo, we had to line up tallest on top to shortest on bottom, and there were at least 20 other girls who were at the top with me, not to mention numerous guys....so I don't get this level of obsession over her height 2 movies in.
yeah, I was already 5'10 when entering middle school. I got picked on too and had no friends... Probably because I was super insecure because of my height (no one wants to be friends with insecure people). I also literally couldn't hear people who were talking to each other in a group, because I was two heads taller. BUT... I fucking never complained about it. I knew there were wars and famines going on in the world.
@Iris Iris I got lucky in middle school bc my best friend was also a tall girl so there was strength in both of us telling the bullies off together, but being tall never got me down. I love it. I literally got in an argument with my mom before prom bc she felt like I shouldn't look taller than my boyfriend at prom in 3 inch heels bc omg the pictures would look "strange." F that! He and I were the same height but with heels I was taller. I like being a part of the 5% club, aka women in the US considered to be tall. I wish these movies weren't so patronizing, but whatever.
Nor do I and while I'm male so probably less of a thing, I topped out at 6'7. By 8th I had hit 6ft and was taller than most teachers. Guess where I stood in annual photos....on the ground and too the side next to teachers, there was no way for me to realistically blend in at that point when the next tallest person in the grade is a full foot shorter than you.
I realy like this sort of reaction video’s. Not only Dylan is super funny, he also had good insights about camera shots and script writing. That makes it also very interesting.
I remember when the first Tall Girl came out, I asked “who is this movie even for?” Now that there’s a sequel, I must ask again, “Who the hell is this for??” Literally no one asked for this and can’t imagine how anyone could genuinely enjoy this movie.

I think a better conflict for this movie would’ve been Steig’s sister coming in and being the “new tall girl” at school. Having Jody be the tall girl that everyone makes fun of, but then another tall girl comes in and everyone loves her. What Dylan thought the Tall girl franchise should’ve been:
“Tall girl 2. All of a sudden she’s taller. She’s 7 feet tall. She joins the NBA, but she’s not very good, she doesn’t play basket ball, and even though she’s as tall as the tallest NBA players, she’s still not good! And that’s the conflict of the movie!

I don’t know if you’ve watched “Never Have I Ever”, but for this show in particular, even though I do ship the main character with one of the love interests, I reallyyy hope she ends up with no one and focuses on herself instead. Spoiler alert for “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend”, but this is basically the road they took and the main character Rebecca ended up focusing on herself and her passions which is amazing, but to see that trope be broken in a teen show like NHIE, where this is almost never the case, would be a big step imo.

@@lainpilled39 Someone please pitch 'freckled girl' to Netflix! I need Dylan to suffer some more.

Thats actually a quite insensitive statement. Thinking in that way, no matter what your misery is, there would ALWAYS be somebody else who has it much worse and its like you arent allowed to feel sad.

His name is stig but 😅 yeah
You see, Jodie literally has the best life with hardly any flaws, they had make up a problem and portray it for the rest of the movie.
Wupps.
They seem so incompatible, this is what I think would've realistically happened with their relationship after they got together.😐
Again, I haven't seen the films, just reaction videos, so pinch of salt, yadiyada.
6:45 How he mess up that bad 💀😭
“I don’t know if you guys watch Euphoria, I don’t”
*Trust me Dylan, Euphoria is much more worth your time than this*
please someone try and convince him too
Yep!! 100% The first trailer in 2019 caught my attention. I knew the moment I saw the trailer that it was gonna be the most realistic show & very entertaining. I’m glad it is getting the attention is deserves
@@K.Acumaa wait why do u say again? has it happened before?
I bet. I’ve only seen the show thru other people’s commentaries, Bc I don’t have HBO
Dylan praising Sabrina carpenter and not roasting her is awsome what a legend ✨✨
YES! we love Sabrina here
YESS WE STAN HER
'tall girl 3 - attack on titan' that's the crossover nobody asked for but everyone needs in their life!!
"I'm going to kill all tall girls. Every single one."
-Eren.
Dylan has to make a movie, it would literally be the best movie ever, his ideas are amazing
YES!
Fun fact: she actually had a serious case of laryngitis while filming and couldn’t say any of her lines, so they decided that they’d just set the script on fire and have her do the entirety of the film in ADR
Really?
ADR?

@@Bulahoopxx Thank you :)
It didn't work.
When Dylan mentioned Euphoria I literally screeched because I got so excited. I would die to see him do first and last for that series 😭
I would die to see him watch the whole seriessss
RIGHT? I HOPE HE WATCHES IT
Petition to get Dylan to watch Euphoria??
OMG YES I NEED THAT
Its overrated the 2nd season was filled with fillers.
as a tall girl who sometimes gets insecure not one of my insecurities was executed properly through any moment of this whole movie- we do not claim this lmfao
I just died of laughter when Dylan described his vision of the Tall Girl sequels. That was some of the funniest shit I've ever heard and it was told so well that I could just visualize it. Now that is a trilogy I'll watch🤣
As a short girl who watches the tall girls in school, I do not agree with this movie. Like almost no one bullies the tall girls cos they're just... Overpowering u know?
As a tall girl myself, I agree. No one ever messed with me.
l swear to god. it's always the shorter ones that's being bullied.
wrong , as a tall girl i used to picked on every single time and it was never fun . You can't tell anything if you haven't experienced it loll no offence
Boys never want to date the tall girls where I live
Idk, I was bullied for being a tall girl and picked at for being unfeminine because of my height
i can’t believe sabrina carpenter did a movie like clouds and then had to do this… you deserve better sweetie 🤠
pls she was embarrassed of this movie she barely even posted about it 😭
@@paigeleeann8449 fr
she prolly just came to collect the check 💀
Ikr! She had done such a great job in The Short History of the Long Road, which is so underrated...I wish these kind of films were more popular than these cringe netflix series
A message from a russian: I want everyone to know that many russians don’t want this cruel war that is happening, but our voices are not heard. Many of us didn’t choose this president, many of us hate him. A lot A LOT of us have friends and families in Ukraine. All I feel is pain and anger, and everyone I know personally in Russia feels it too. And also everything that EU is doing only will affect russian citizens and not Putin and his elite which also breaks my heart. Sorry I wrote it here, just always loved this channel and thought maybe someone would care to read this comment. No to war. Нет войне 🇺🇦
💔💔💔
This was actually very good to read because I haven't been hearing perspectives from many Russian citizens. Thank you for your message.
It is heartbreaking. But EU is taking the necessary actions and it’s not against any people, but oligarchy and Putin.
love this! there are no winners in war
My prayers are with all you guys.
you know dylan is loving the movie when he looks up the writer within the first 20 minutes
FINALLY SOMEONES REVIEWING THIS MOVIE
Between the characteristically droll, unrelatable, anti-climactic plotline and characters, lack of ability to connect plotlines, relationships, and characters back to its originator, toxic love interests, unnatural dialogue, plot-device fueled relationships, subpar acting, unrelatability, and offensively inaccurate portrayals of anxiety and imposter syndrome, this film made to be a worse watch than the first, and hence took me 4 hours to watch this 1.5 hour film. In this essay I will
Dylan is honestly surprisingly late with this review. Normally he talks about these types of movies a week after they came out.
he said “movie commentary monday” so confidently when it’s literally friday 😭
I’ve been avoiding this movie and waiting for him to watch this. Dylan puts up with terrible movies for us and takes one for the team, Thank you Dylan.
i’m a swede and i can’t mention enough how much i hate the swedish characters:
1, the swedish conversations are even worse than in the first one
2, stella’s boyfriend, ivar krueger, was an engineer who died in 1932 but sure
3, no one under 60 is named stig
Me too fellow bröther.
Also "no one under" 60.
Lol absolut allt med karaktären är fanemig kränkande, och dialekten, rip 😭

Watched this video for the first time and never seen Tall Girl or Tall Girl 2 before this. I would like to thank Dylan for going through this for me. I mean he saw parts we didn't see and it was torture enough so props to you! I caught myself slipping a few times trying to skip but went back because I was almost skipping Dylan. PS how dare Stig call Jodi by her actual name lol
I love how upset Dylan was when he heard the Swedish guy learned how to pronounce the J sound
something i've learned through all these netflix movies is that you can always tell who second movie boy is cuz he's mixed race. think tall girl, the kissing booth, to all the boys i've loved before... same shit, different font.
literally
dylan rewriting the movies into sci-fi ones is hilarious, he always has to make it violent 🤣
I died at Dylan's idea for a sequel. I need it to be made. Let's get this movement going
@@Banyo__ wtf... there is something wrong with your mom, is she herself insecure or something?
@@Banyo__ Don't listen to your mom, that's just totally sexist.
That makes it also very interesting.
that makes Dylans reaction videos so good haha... he literally states everytime how the movie could do a way better job and he never misses 😁
In one of the shots you can clearly see a phone case instead of an actual phone lmao. Its a few seconds after 18:45.
the whole 'of course not dunkers' thing has me absolutely crying
17:18
Me 2 and I'm 88% sure that they also added the voice in post production which makes it even funnier to me
@@luzginellabonnete.3385 u literally cannot see his mouth moving 😭😭
@@luzginellabonnete.3385 I was shocked that dylan didn't point that out and make us rewatch it like he usually does 😭
I remember when the first Tall Girl came out, I asked “who is this movie even for?”
Now that there’s a sequel, I must ask again, “Who the hell is this for??” Literally no one asked for this and can’t imagine how anyone could genuinely enjoy this movie.
I watch Dylan's commentaries to make the movies bearable. Even Dylan's skills could not make this movie watchable
Too accurate. Man, I hate this movie and i'm sorry that Dylan had to watch it.
“Oh Hey he used to be bullied in middle school, sounds like a theatre kid” 😭😭😭
