    As long as I don’t pay taxes to the USA I would be good with teaching. I think there is an income amount exemption. I need to look into this. Be there next year. Really really looking for to the change! ❤❤❤

      I think it also depends on if you officially make yourself a non resident of the USA. im not totally sure. I’m Canadian.

    Ill be taking my in person tefl there next month what would be a base amount in usd yo come save maybe around 2k? Also are there schools that pay for housing. Have you done any online teaching is it possible to do online full time

      @@jmoney4330 they don’t pay for housing ever. Yea 2k is about right - maybe a little more just in case. It’s nice to not feel strapped. - when you get hired, and start teaching it’s possible you won’t get a paycheque for 6 weeks. Most schools pay only once a month and with a 2 week lag. Each school can operate differently but ya. - it happened to me I worked 6 weeks straight before I saw a single penny. Then it’s once a month after that

      @@TomTripsOut what about being a black male NES. I'm reading online there's some hiring discrimination. Have you witnessed this

    • @TomTripsOut
      @TomTripsOut  2 месяца назад

      @@jmoney4330 yes - that is true. Black NES have a more challenging time finding job. They are usually paid lower too. - it’s the older generation that holds onto that prejudice- young people are very warm and accepting of everyone. Don’t be discouraged, but be prepared to push a little harder. I worked with like 5 South African teachers at my last job - so I mean, they all got hired.

      @@jmoney4330 I don’t wanna bad mouth Cambodia- but out of respect for you I wanna be straight up and not sugar coat it with vague lies. I’ve heard from black people that Thailand is more accepting. - I know I shouldn’t be commenting on something like this when I’m white, but these are the truths I’ve heard. - good luck bro 👍🙂
