I swear when Fox be censoring / black screening Smackdown like crazy, it makes Smackdown pretty much unwatchable at times and it's annoying. We know USA Network also censors, but at least we don't have to worry about those black screens popping up a bunch of times and also muting the audio for like 15 seconds and they can get away with a little bit more stuff on the USA Network. WWE doesn’t need any broadcast network or any cable tv channel especially not now with their record profits. If Fox does this on and thinks it’s going to hurt WWE, they’re delusional.
In hindsight, this was never the most compatible partnership for either of them. Helped WWE in some aspects some of the time, and it helped Fox in some aspects some of the time. But this was never a match or a fit. Not to mention how they would constantly be bumped to FS1 and would end the show minutes early, for the nightly news. I would've opted for another network at the time they negotiated this deal.
This is not the first time fox went crazy with the censorship / black screen on SmackDown, remember when The Rock was on Smackdown earlier this year and fox was censoring the hell out of those Rock segments? There were plenty of people I came across was very frustrated with all the censorship that fox was doing on Smackdown and I definitely don't blame WWE for being frustrated. Well NXT is moving to the CW and the CW is a broadcast network and WWE will be having 4 Primetime specials per year on NBC as part of their new deal with smackdown, so they will still have a presence on broadcast tv, but I do agree that they don't need to do business with fox anymore.
