New subscriber here. I love unique or weird decks so I had to watch this VR. I am a huge fan of surrealist art, so Zekes Arcana grabbed my attention right away. I don’t know if you’re familiar with the artist Salvador Dali but this reminds me of his artwork. And yes I do get the Lisa Frank and Sailor Moon vibe as well. I might have to grab that one.

Also had not noticed before how many bugs or bug people that mind's eye tarot has. 🤔 Up until now I actually saw it mostly as just a pretty fae deck but with this new weird layer - I'm intrigued. 👀👀
I love the bug people in Mind's Eye, or perhaps they're bug faeries 🤔🐛🧚♀️ either way, I think the deck is definitely more than meets the eye! (no pun intended 🤣) And yes how pretty is the purple gilding on Moon Garden! I'm very glad I waited for this shiny new edition 😁

Even if the imagery on those Tarot decks doesn’t really match with traditional RWS imagery, the essence is still there and the meaning is still in the back of my mind. Love me some unconventional decks. In wisdom of the wild things oracle, I love the anxiety monster lol. That deck smells delish too. The minds eye tarot is gorgeous however I’m finding that deck a bit challenging to connect with, which is definitely not fun. I’m not at all going to quit working with that deck, however this is a pretty rare occurrence for me as I’ve been really fortunate that with having a shit ton of decks, not connecting with one doesn’t happen much. I guess the odds are for me but still, it sucks because I love the artwork, the artist. Do you have any tips or what do you do if you’re not connecting and working in tandem with certain decks? If you like watercolor, it’s Thoth based but the Zillich Tarot is stunning and the Oracles by Libby Bove is another great one. :) great video & awesome decks!
I had to get out my copy of Wild Things and smell it lol US Games decks have some sort of sweet smell to them and I love it too!! As for tips on connecting with a deck, try pairing it with other decks. For example I have the Mermaid's Purse by the same artist so I feel like that and the Mind's Eye are a bonded pair and work very well together. Also, just take out the deck and look through it. Pull random cards and read the book entry. Literally just play with it lol at least that's what works for me. Sometimes our decks take a while to connect with and that's okay! 🤗
I was so sure I had done this one. But evidennot. Is was the 10 curiosity decks, which I guess covers it. But 1st deck to mind was the minds eye as newbies in my collection. Love the 🍄🍄🍄

I have the first edition of moon garden tarot, it's much smaller and only came with an lwb. I believe it was published in 1993 so you're spot on 🎯.

I am really starting to love surrealist art, or just "unconventional" art in general. I love Zeke's, there isn't anything out there quite like it!
