I was working at Ajax hardware in So. Cali when that song came out, 19 yrs old and partying like it was 1999. Had a 74 Monte Carlo with a 8 track under the dash and life was good and I didn't even make a lot of money but life was good. Me and my best friend had a two bedroom furnish apartment for 135.00 a month, they paid gas and water and life was good. I wish I could go back to those times when life was good.
Wow this music just brings me to tears. My daddy and I used to jam to these beats back when he was alive. I’m a daddy’s girl forever. I love you daddy! 8/7/1956- 5/13/2017
And I am floating with The Floaters! Yes baby yes! Love this song and I am a Libra born on October 11th! Love it! Such nice rhythm and very sweet song from an era where everyone and everything was so nice and simple. The 70s was the best era of good music and wonderful artists! God bless them all!
The first time I heard these guys sing this was in 1977 while I was stationed there as a young Marine. I’m 72 years old and this song is as SMOOTH now as it was then.👍🥹
“It ain’t easy being me, Will I see the penitentiary or will I stay free?” This song is amazing by itself. The fact pac sampled it makes it 100x better
I lost my Son Eddie Corona on August the 8th, and ever since then I can't seem to get it together, so I have decided to go where he is. We both loved this song
I know it’s been 4 years but sorry for your loss, I hope you’ve found peace in your life, as much as you may think you wanna go where he is, I’m sure Eddie would want you to continue living your best life for him, everyone wants there moms to be happy no matter what, float on
He's with you! Although he floated on to his next journey in another life he is with you in spirit always. I know 8/8 is great it's my bday. It's great song to remember our loved ones that have floated on to their next journey till we meet again. Much love
I grew up in the 60's and 70's. I love my music. So glad that there are still many young people that are learning to appreciate the music I grew up with. My heart skips a beat every time I hear an oldie. These songs have meaning and always take me back to a certain memory , smell, or taste. So funny how music can have that effect on you. So much great music on RUclips.
This is an amazing song!! It shows that love has no boundaries. There is someone out there for everyone no matter what faults you may have. Never look for love because your never going to find it, let it find you!!!
This song takes me back to the Summer of 1977 ! You were born in The Year Of The Dragon like me!! I was born in '88, I have an old soul too. I hate today's music. We're Dragons Baby, and we are just as old school as it gets!!! 😊🖤💚🖤😊

My name is Sasha, and I'm a Taurus. I love a man who is funny, smart, and confident. A man I can learn from; a man with whom I could take over the world. If this is YOU...come on, boy, let's float on😁😁😁
I still had awkward days in the 70s, in college. But I swear, we all got along a bit better, 'doing as we would be done' in those idealistic days. And we all listened to each other's music and appreciated it and if a guy tried to use one of those lines from the song to pick you up, you just laughed and started singing.
I was born in 1980. This was still fresh in my early childhood days. I remember chilling out on the countryside in the afternoons under the oak trees listening to this, just us and mother nature. When just the simple things in life went a long way
I remember as a kid my mom would play this song as she got me ready for elementary school. I'm now 27 years old and very appreciated that I grew up on REAL music with substance.
still love this song, even though the floaters didn't make many songs like most groups back then, this song is still and will always be a classic old school slow jam. brings back memories of the summer of 1977 being in army boot camp in fort jackson south carolina.
I never heard this before but it just reinforces my love of music from the 70's and 80's.So much passion in this beat you can totally get lost in it the whole way.P.S. this would be a great song to smoke pot with.
