You didn't mention an advantage of a genuine suede jacket.
He did. The genuine one looks and feels so luxurious.... And it's better to have genuine and faux if you can find both for good price
He also didn't mention the advantage of faux suded - not supporting needless abuse and killing of animals. Including dogs and infant cattle.
He said it's breathable. You won't suffocate.
@@me_11._.unlike the cows whose throats were slit before they drowned in their own blood

I love faux suede jackets, like the one on my profile pic, because they're machine washable and very durable.
Real suede is not washable?
@@Annes.Archives Yes. That was my point. That's why it's called FAUX suede. Faux means imitation.
Hello! I own a genuine suede jacket, but I'm very interested in buying ( online) a printed (floral) peachskin jacket. I'm hoping you can help me! Can you, please, tell me if peachskin looks like real suede?
Hi. What’s the brand of your genuine suede jacket?
Which one is more durable Sir original or fake one?
You find these jackets a lot in thrift shops for like 35 bucks. Great jacket to match with a whole light jeans outfit. A bit oversized suede jacket with a slightly oversized denim shirt , a fresh coloured new era cap. and rockin a good pair of sneakers. Classic adidas sneakers. And last but not least . a workers pant or distressed jeans.
It’s important to stipulate that even if a product states genuine suede that’s the lowest quality available. The king of all suede jackets is the apc louis Wong suede bomber. This is an investment piece you should be willing to pay a good amount. Where is the one you have in the video from?
I actually got this one from Nordstrom or asks fifth and yea of course quality differs in leathers. I just made a recommendation on where to get a genuine suede jacket for the same price of a faux one. Thanks for watching
Assembled Style totally agree! I’m of the persuasion you buy it for life and with any leather, shoe or jacket, you can’t go cheap.
I was at TJ Maxx, and found a Peter Millar Suede Vest.. I was shocked at the retail price, $698. The TJ Maxx price $39.99 absolute steal..
Ayyyeee that’s a nice find! I need to revisit those stores
@@AssembledStyle I was sincerely surprised to see a couple of their styles there. I figured if I was going to pick on of their products up, might as well go with the one that retails for the most. Lol.. it's a beautiful Navy Blue. Thank you for this video. I never thought about Suede, but it feels great. I'm looking forward to the Fall weather now.. lol
How would I know if mines genuine .. Can it be faux even if it says gen leather on inside...im trying find best way to clean it.. Was a gift from uncle who has had it since 80s...
No, yours is genuine if the tag label says so. Besides faux wasn’t as mainstream in the 80s as it is now
@@AssembledStyle OK thanks just was wondering. it still looks real good .. I was trying to find a way to clean it ,and ran into your video .. Figures better to find someone who deals with cleaning these type materials..
Where is your genuine leather jacket from? It is the style I have been looking for!
I actually got it at Nordstrom a few years back but you can easily find them by searching “suede bomber jacket” and find one that best fits your budget.
Subscribed bro, don't wanna blow all my money so think I will stick with synthetic 👍🏻
Thanks for watching! Synthetic is much easier to care for anyways
if u are not making money with your looks i think synthetic the way :D
I find a vintage one for like 42 and I’m trying to figure out if its real or not
You can check the inside fabric tags to see if it says “outer shell” along with the cowhide mark. If it’s man-made it’ll contain a hash or a diamond mark
Can we wear poly suede in rain?
I wouldn’t necessarily use it as my rain jacket lol but it wouldn’t do any damage if its polyester
Some people also have issues with the ethics of leather. Agree or disagree with that topic, it's true. Leather isn't always a byproduct like people assume. Animals are often killed just for their skin and kept in extremely cruel conditions especially at the cheap end. Just saying there is another reason to shop for faux suede and I believe some suede can be more real looking than others.
That’s a different topic. The influencers that are promoting these shoes are not vegan and could care less about the ethics of leather.
I buy vintage leather jackets. I save a lot of money and still get the real thing.
Smart move 👍
What about £ 1500 ?
I don’t know how I feel about those pockets on that jacket?
Hmm I don't see anything wrong with them but I understand if you like pockets that are a bit muted without flaps then a bomber jacket should work just fine.
Assembled Style Where did you get the bomber you’re wearing the the video? For the price I might just get the Express jacket.
It's a STEAL price for genuine suede jacket man. I got the one I'm wearing at Nordstrom Rack.
The genuine side jacket you have looks banging in the vid, faux suede in the most part looks and feels shit. Totally get it’s more durable, that’s polyester for you. Would rather just a cotton jacket that faux.
Good job Crunchy!
Thanks bruh
@@AssembledStyle hey how's the jacket working out for you now after 3 almost??
Great video!!

great and informative, thank you.
No problem, thanks for watching
you need advice on a new hair cut
Yea I cringe looking back on it lol
@@AssembledStyle lol good video tho
500? No way
Please work on the videos I barely got anything out of this there's no depth and the jackets are barely broken down I'm sure you can improve as you have potential but also fix the haircut
Sorry man, very old video
dress like a genuine gentle... man
Everything important you had to say could have been said in 2 minutes.
I guess
bomber game
500 is a lot but you can just tell - probably goat leather
That is correct
@@AssembledStyle ha, just purchased one last night too 👍
Advantage of faux suede is an innocent animal didn't have to have their throat slit so that they can be made into a jacket.
Disadvanatge: you are wearing a plastic jacket.
Use the leather is better than throw it away. That animal is dead anyway.
Thanks. Real it is then
You know that faux is wayyy worse for the environment right? Most faux leather is polyurethane which is horrible for the environment, you kill more animals buying and supporting companies that make plastic jackets than by buying one of an actual animal skin, where the rest of the animal has been used to feed people
@@zanderascher8205 You couldn't be more wrong. Animal agriculture is responsible for more green house gas emissions then the entire transportation system combined. Its responsible for land desertification, climate change, deforestation of the amazon, oceanic dead zones, massive land and water use. It takes 15kg of plants to make 1kg of beef. Thats the most inefficient way to feed people on earth. People are starving and animals are dying because you want an "authentic" skin jacket.
I don't think you mentioned the advantage of faux suede where one avoids directly supporting a cruel and deadly industry.
Genuine suede is the skin of an animal who was killed (not euthanized) often in terrible ways. These animals also live lives in horrible conditions.
Not just cattle, but even dogs!
You, reader, have you ever had a relationship with a dog?
If you never met that dog you had a relationship with, would it have been okay for someone to kill them?
Not to mention the tannery workers (humans) who have approximately 5x greater risk for cancers and other untold health detriments.
It's an all-around a needless and disgusting industry.
I don't mean to be one of 'those' people but frankly it's a barbaric industry that if we understood (and didn't casually forget about), we would never support with our own money.
