- Hell Let Loose originally released in June, 2019. It's a large scale tactical warfare FPS game. It's basically a more realistic version of the Battlefield series and it's GREAT. It's incredibly atmospheric and at times, it literally feels like you're in a movie! I can't recommend it enough!

To new players, this is a game of map control first and foremost. Building friendly garrisons (team spawn points) and also destroying enemy garrisons is the single most important part of the combat. Kills matter less in this game than taking out the enemy spawns.
Also at the end of the vid when that friendly took a rocket to the face. It was a friendly AT guy blasting that enemy garrison that you were both standing next to. He probably noticed you guys weren’t destroying it and took it upon himself.
A couple of issues in this video. First off, there are indeed hit indicators in the game. There is a distint sound effect when you hit an enemy and there is a distint "ting" sound when you get a headshot.
Secondly, spawn points aren't points that are captured which help you spawn closer to the objectives. Outposts and garrisons have to be built using resources, not captured

I started playing just this a couple of months ago, im at 250hours now, and I must say this is the most immersive, sometimes gore and funny game with a realistic feel out of all the games ive ever played... I literally reminds me of the shooters i played during childhood because it gives me that same excitment, not a single game gave me that feeling this far! Its truly unique!

Super close to being a perfect gaming experience. More optimization across all platforms and significant server upgrades would persuade me to forget about any bugs or gameplay mechanics we don't like. Don't shoot the messenger.
The maps are done right. Not every battle field had a ton of cover. Really there were a ton of open fields. It made the game a bit frustrating sometimes. On a side note, I did enjoy the coastal France invasions.

They actually go back and look at old maps and pictures and stuff and make the map as accurate as possible

They can’t see where your garrisons are, that’s straight up misinformation, you don’t capture garrisons, you build them

You can lower the player name tag opacity a little in settings for better immersion.

I use 100m setting, stops the intrusive icons all over the HUD but still gives you good awareness in a fight, at distance you just have to put sights on a target and the friendly icon still appears.
There are hit sounds. There is a sound if you strike body and a sound if you strike head

Hell Let Loose is all around my favorite multiplayer FPS. I have been playing it for a while now and am around level 130. From playing as a tank crew member, to being on the regular infantry units, or being the sniper on a recon squad and going deep behind enemy lines it is always a blast. Overall the community is pretty good too most people are friendly, while there will be toxicity in literally any multiplayer game it does not seem nearly as bad in HLL compared to most other games. I am really looking forward to the updates to come in 2023 since the roadmap introduced a lot of great things!
This is a frustrating game I bought it a couple of weeks ago and I just keep getting killed from enemies that I can’t even see.

It should be noted that a key part of this game is teamwork and TALKING to teammates. This is vital.
A substantial road map of developments and improvements are planned for this game. It will therefore evolve into something even more epic than it already is 👍

This game is phenomenal it’s just really sad to see the new devs screwing it up😢 game is going downhill from what it once was
Not a big mp guy I played a lot of battlefield back then still do time to time but I mainly play sp games now. HLL is the only mp game I truly play the most. It’s set in my favorite time period WW2 and it is super authentic, the maps are beautiful and the gameplay is pretty hardcore not as hardcore compared to games like Arma and Squad but it is pretty hardcore you die in 1 to 2 shots and the sound effects are brutal and realistic. My only problem with HLL is there is no swimming mechanic which is hella dumb and I feel like they could increase the movement to be a little faster not fast like cod maybe battlefield 4 type movement at least to me because I feel like I am so heavily weighed down and I do understand that it’s supposed to be authentic and you are wearing all the gear and stuff but I choose gameplay over realism and in real life soldiers were trained to be quick and moving around with tons of gear but that is my personal opinion besides that I think the game is great especially since they devs just confirmed that the British will be coming and future nations will be added such as Finland and Polish troops I can’t wait for that update.
Nice move at 10:53 killing your team mate that was creeping up on the enemy garrison to try and destroy it, and right as he turns to do so, *donk* you head shot him so u can take it out being like "oops thought u were an enemy my b, oh look enemy garrison, guess I have to take it out" then AT WHO SAW THE WHOLE THING, robs you with his shoulder fired rocket. dude that got killed was probably 1. Honestly great af if all that was intentional on your end.
2. If it wasn't and it was an accident and your just new to the game, then just be careful when shooting with friendlys in front of you, that situation could have lead to your team loosing. Always use local chat and talk to your team and surrounding teammates.

In my opinion Post Scriptum is better, but Hell Let Loose is easier so if you wanna start your adventure with realistic tactical games, Hell Let Loose is the best way to start.
You need to hold v while talking in order to use proximity chat or nobody is gonna hear you. But good gameplay!

If they would fix the gun play, I'd love it... I get that this game is a middle area between the arcadiness of COD and the "realism" of Arma or maybe Squad. It is just too easy too kill someone at 200-300 meters after sprinting a mile. I wish they'd add more weapon sway. Other than that, I love the atmosphere this game creates.

Weapon sway is the most unrealistic aspect of video games. It's an abstract concept added to simulate breathing heavy/other human factors but if you operate firearms and are in good shape and train regularly accuracy isn't even a question. IRL we'll run a 24 minute 3 mile in 50-80 pounds of gear and transition straight into shooting exercises and still fire accurately 100-300 yards, some guys further. In game our guys have a fraction of that weight and while I'm not sure what their pacing is they aren't sprinting because this game doesn't have a sprint. It has a jog and a run. Men are just a bit of meat and bone so yeah it's easy to kill a man. One bullet is going to stop 99% of humans. Especially the larger calibers used in WW2. And 200-300 meters isn't a long distance it's a standard engagement range IRL and most ingame interactions(I face anyway) are shorter than that.
Too bad this last update by Team 17 made things worse then better just to get their analytics tools pushed to the game.

Realisttic take on Battlefield?!?!?!? WTF ... the only thing in common is they are both shooters. DO NOT PLAY HLL LIKE BATTLEFIELD. You will not have a good time. Communicate, work together and play tactical. Build nodes, build garrisons (team spawn) and build outposts (squad spawn) and also ping targets for your squad. I dont see you communicate with your squad once ... you are not playing it right! But hey ... I only have 5.000hrs of game time, maybe I am playing it wrong!
Okay this game ain’t realistic or a combat simulation. It is between an arcade shooter and a combat simulation. There are games that are a lot more realistic than HLL and I’m so sick of people saying this game is realistic. It’s not.
What is so "unrealistic" about it?

@@nevillebaker1462 it’s impossible to make a game 100% realistic but post scriptum is much more realistic especially the tanks that have components inside and calculations how they should react on impact . Quite hard to explain exactly but you can look up more. That’s the best I’ve got if you’re into ww2 then there are other shooters that ain’t ww2 like Arma 3 that has certain missions and that was the actual case. You don’t fight like in PS and HLL but getting a mission like destroying something or sabotage. Squad is also pretty realistic even though it’s not a ww2 shooter. You can look up for yourself and see how you want it.
@@BBones541 first of all how untrained people are. You can join a lot of games with people that have no idea what they are doing and that was very rare irl. Second of all the tanks are going alone. Irl they were a lot more and they had infantry support and maintenance sections so the entire team would’ve worked around the tanks but that isn’t the case in HLL. Thirdly we have the tanks that just have basically hp and tracks with 3 different kinds of meters. Either the tank is working 100% or it is destroyed with the exception of the speed but that‘s about it. There’s no limited vision for the tank commander either which was why they had the option to open the hatch. A singe light tank can’t destroy like 3 tigers that you might see that’s why the Americans came up with the jumbo 76mm. Also reinforcement, it’s not like they come seconds later or that when they die somebody else will just come and help. That’s why medics were very important in real life but not that important in HLL. I can list things all day. But the reason why is because of balance and simplicity since this game is between realism and arcade. It also has much more complex system like hundreds of kinds of bullets that your weapon can use and the bullet is giving the damage not the gun, the weapon has like 10 different stats that affects the recoil, how often your weapon gets malfunction and stuff compared to other games but like I said, it’s not a military game
@@nevillebaker1462 if you want super realistic combat mechanics then the best I can give you is Escape from Tarkov but that’s not a military game. It is a survival pvp game that has like 10 ways you can hurt yourself and you need separate things to heal it like light bleeding, heavy bleeding, broken bone, concussion etc.
Absolute true, play this game for a week now and it is great, much better then CoD and Battlefield, those two games are the same shit for 20 years now!
