Nice to see a Trails game showcased! I made the PC port being run here (and came up with Turbo mode ;)). I was amused by the introduction saying that this game has a huge cast. On the one hand, it's absolutely true, compared to most JRPGs. On the other hand, it has a much *smaller* cast than some of the games in the franchise we worked on most recently. Hajimari/Reverie (releasing tomorrow!) is particularly silly in that regard.
you are a fucking hero man. and yes reverie does have an insane cast. even in the base game it has so many characters though only 3 of them are new so it isn't that bad as most of the characters have already had their development but holy the end game cast is so massive. was it 72 characters
Just finished all four Cold Steel games again in preparation for the new game so I was extremely pleased to see this run being done! A great series for sure
I bought this game a couple of years ago on a whim and absolutely loved it! Ended up getting 2 and 3 immediately after and patiently waited for 4, one of my most favourite games series and the soundtrack is phenomenal!
I love the shock about the rude cliffhanger ending of Cold Steel, and I must state : Cold Steel 3 manage to make even worse in term of cliffhanger ending.
Well the sidequest club not bullies him. Its just because of a certain tiny school president Rean can't resist:) It's the power of a hardworking cute girl/the school mascot. The meanest weapon.
Trails in 2 hours? colour me intrigued, but there is gonna be some crazy BS going on for this to work. I guess NG+ will help with the powerlvl problem.
This series is amazing!!!! anybody who loves long form storytelling and an amazing combat system I highly recommend. be warned, there is an emphasis on LONG form storytelling.
also CS is a fine starting point, but as someone who went through from the very first entry, please try and stomach the older graphics and play from sky FC onward. the payoff is so worth the effort.
I appreciate that the runner would follow up the jokes by clarifications for people who don't know the game. Otherwise they mighy get a very weird impression of it.
just here to say that while yes trails of cold steel 1 is a great game to start with you should only play up to cs2 and then go back to the sky trilogy and then the crossbell arc all of the games are now available on steam meaning you don't need to do anything wacky to get them. the story after cs2 starts of have characters from the previous games and they are barely explained making it not the best games to play if you haven't played the previous games and i would not suggest playing the crossbell arc before the sky trilogy as zero has the end to one of the best stories in the series. i want more people to get into trails but it is hard when there are now 11 games in english which you should play in order. the series is as old as i am that being 20 years old meaning that the older games way more difficult and the graphics might turn some people away but hey the sky games are some of the best games ever made and so are the crossbell games so please don't judge them by what they look like.

Thank you for your work!! Turbo mode got me to give Trails a go starting with Sky in 2019

Thanks a bunch for your work and I have to agree, the cast is small compared to some of the other games
Yo this run was crazy fun to do, hope everyone enjoys it!
eriopolis is a man of culture and taste. don't be defeated by a friend is a top tier banger.

This was an amazingly fun run. Thanks for showing it off!
No waaaaaayy. God I love the Legend of Heroes games. Reverie comes out in two days and I'm beyond excited. This'll be a great watch
I love this game so much that I knew what stair boss was immediately even though I've never seen the speedrun.
Such a good game. Glad to see it. Reminds me I need to finish my nightmare run

yeah. but hey its still amazing i was fortunate enough to have bought the entire series in one go i did not need to wait for a year
cant believe cold steel is at GDQ. the legend of heroes is and extremely underrated series.
Clearly, the reason he doesn't like recent wind waker runs is because you skip the barrier instead of getting over it.
"we love wazy in this house, he is the cooler kevin" now thats a fucking take
I love Trails. It's my favorite franchise of all time!
ah someone with taste. whats your favorite title mine is cs3
Octopath Traveler 2 had a jukebox.
He says C randomly summons bombs but constantly uses them almost every turn during my first run of the game.
Well the sidequest club not bullies him. Its just because of a certain tiny school president Rean can't resist:)

Crosbell games do have Phantom thief B but you never see the guy in person

@@jacobboida3282 agreed. at least cs is a better starting point then zero or god forbid reverie
