PS : If you wanna go into details, Psychedelia is a pretty broad spectrum in itself, mister Professor Moreno : San Francisco Hippie Acid-Rock has nothing to do with Los Angeles or Texas Psychedelic-Punk, and British Pop-sike is also something else altogether! I doubt French singer, Douglas was singing about LSD and dropping Acid in his ode to Alcohol... (lol ) *And what you call « Freakbeat » is nothing to do with 60’s garage-Punk or pre-punk rock’n’roll or proto-punk! Freakbeat in this sense is EuroBeat music freaking-out and breaking soundbarriers, so... in this sense, Freakbeat is pre/proto-Psych’ and much closer to Psychedelia than US Garage rock’n’roll or transworld 60´s proto-punk because Freakbeat is more experimental than just being pre-punk! So, if you really wanna talk about the foundation of sound : thee Freakbeat group is Wimple Winch, as much as Stateside, thee Psych/ Punk band is the Electric Prunes...
