I have the same sled! Bought my V-Max 700 SX new in 1996 for $6499.00 U.S. In order for the fuel pump to fill all three carburetor bowls with fewer rope pulls, I use an oil can mixed with fresh 32:1 premium gas and Yamalube. 1 shot of gas/oil in each cylinder, then screw the spark plugs in finger tight until she starts. Full choke until the engine fires, then half choke. The three cylinder engine may require up to two oil can squirts of gasoline per cylinder before engine finally springs to life. Start sled outdoors with fire extinguisher within arms reach.

Clean the carbs fresh gas new plugs it's a Yamaha she'll fire right up best sounding and best snowmobiles ever made by Yamaha
Next snowmobile I own will be a fuel injected one. Spent way too much time on maintenance and less riding throughout my past.
Great sleds. I have a mint 01 vmax 700 deluxe. Motors last forever
Just picked one of these up. How do I ensure oil injector is working? Thanks for the great videos.
Definitely need to clean the carbs after sitting that long. You’re supposed to clean them yearly regardless and it’s not too difficult at all.
Wanna sell it? Looking for a sked
Do you still mix the fuel? Or just put your oil in the little tank?
I don't premix. Mine. I have both tanks. I use
Amsoil in mine. I use NGK number nine spark
Plugs.
