Because they put money behind it. The music is only 10% and 90% is promotion and marketing . u heard Davido said he spent $2million dollars on promotions and marketing on his last album. Anybody can do music but not anybody can get that marketing money. if u can get that money from an investors , from the government or if your dad is rich, then u can blow up. that's how it works. music is a product so you're going to need an investor and that how Nigerian artist play the music game and the US. US artist - Wizkhalif even mentioned that.
