Fair review. Nice job! They never should have sent the kit without a full instruction manual. The confusion during assembly takes up a lot of time in every review of the Mercury. I hope that Killerbody is able to make the needed improvements, and that we continue to have options for ultra-scale RC chassis.
Thanks! 👍 I'm assuming that consumer models have right manual.
I bought this kit with the lc70 body knowing it had some issues, but i also appreciated its scale design, I like the fact the chassis is as true to full scale as it can be, I also know it will have limitations, I purchased mine as a project and have re designed the diff lock mechanism, reworked the shocks so they actually dampen, used the pick up bed as the electronics bay, mine functions really well and is clean build, I can run open diffs for extended periods without servo straining, should you have to modify a new chassis to make it work? Probably not, but this hobby everyone modifys there trucks, mine is sorted and seems to be reliable and drives very scale like
A concise and valuable review of the model, and the car itself looks really great! 💯Despite some limitations of this type of scale models, I like them the most 😉
👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks for comment. This truck is not for all. But some will like these scale realistick details.
Very nice

Thanks!
killerbody dropped a dud....when you add the body and what it cost its not worth it..way to much plastic...plastic looks cheap and not strong...i know its a free rc for you..but its a dumpster fire...love the locking diffs and all..but its trash...
so its like a neca rc car that i have lol..the delorean which is a model 1/32 rc car...i can use it on my hardwood floors but 99.9% of the time its a display piece...i think thats what this is...limited basic trailing you can do with an amazing body buttttttttttttt its just not it..sorta like a lego rc car...killerbody makes awesome hardbody for us scale guys...but mannnnn do the suck at the chassis department....they had years to get this right...and they continue to habd out thses unfinshed mercury chassis to all youtubers hoping you will tell your subbs and audience to buy it....thanks for being semi honest about it...
Hey, thanks for your comment. Yep the strenght and quality aren’t there what people wish it to be. But no other manufacturer reached that level of details and scale realism at this price point. I assume that Killerbodys main focus was to release super realistic truck at this price so those ”fails” are compromisses. I’m not defending the Killerbody, just trying to understand what they where after with this release. I’m little disapointed also with the quality and i wished that this more durable.
@@BishopsRCCrusade thanks for your honesty and responding back...yes 100% the fearures are awesome and amazing...but if your on the trails and those awesome features cant really be used then its a waste of just nice features..i would have rather they charged a bit more in the price but come out with a chassis that was durable and made with the intentions of being used on the trails....bc as of now its nothing but model that can be used very lighly and when your putting on a 175$ plus hardbody its just waste..they had years to get this right bc they released the mercury chassis some years back it was in all grey at some rc event and even at the event it broke down ..theres a video on scale news update from that clip....i get that they wanted it at a certain price point..but once you add the body and shipping..your in another department..anyone with any knowledge in the hobby would just save that money,,,and add to it and getsomethg else....just bc it has awesome features its like putting lipstick and a dress on a pig....at the end of the day its still a pig....the plastic is not the strongest...they even knew that bc they added the chassis rails in steel to correct the weakeness of the chassis...and when you put screws into plastic...what happens over time especially if u take them off and on..just a ball drop...i understand they tried to reach a market on a price point...but when you have to buy a hardbody for it...and even building it is a headache...its just not worth it in the long run..unless you wanna use it in ur house..it sounds in the video just cheap man...please watch the scale builders guild video on this....im not the biggest fan of his..but he was honest bc his subbs is more important then a free item and him saying its worth buying....lego makes an rc car..but is it really so as neca...yes killerbody gave us some awesome features...but when its on a 90% plastic build with no aftermarket support...this release will come and go..and to me killerbodyt dropped the ball big time....the features reward isnt worth the risk at the end of the day my friend..its ok to say that....
When you say limited trail use, to a scale builder its more accurate of what a real vehicle could achieve on the trail, as for some of the build issues I feel the rc hobbiest has lost its way in adapting and working through problems, I've built rc aircraft, t-rex helicopters from kits and always had to overcome minor niggles, not defending this chassis but it will appeal to some that enjoy the build challenge and engineering that's gone into it

he was honest outta all the youtubers he was the most up front and honest....30k plus subbs..you owe it to them.....pre production or not..its a dumpster fire
