General Grievous stands on a windswept balcony, overlooking the vast landing platforms of Utapau. His mechanical eyes watch the bustling activity as his fleet regroups from their recent defeat on Coruscant.
The loss on Coruscant had been a severe blow, with Count Dooku's death leaving the Confederacy of Independent Systems leaderless. Grievous knows the chances of victory are slim.
His thoughts were interrupted by an incoming transmission. Grievous activates the holocommunicator and the blue-tinted image of Darth Sidious flickers to life.
Palpatine: General Grievous, I see you are consolidating your forces on Utapau. A prudent move, given the current situation.
Grievous: Lord Sidious. With the death of Count Dooku and our recent defeat, the Confederacy's position is precarious. I hope this is all part of your plan.
Palpatine: It is. The end of the war is near, General and the CIS will be no more. But your fate need not be tied to the Confederacy's downfall.
Grievous: I do not fear death, Lord Sidious. A warrior's end on the battlefield is an honor.
Palpatine: A fine sentiment, but if you fall there, you will not see the Jedi's demise. Heed my instructions, and leaves this planet. Then you shall watch their temple burn.
Grievous: Very well, Lord Sidious.
Grievous listens to Palpatine's commands and orders the remnants of the CIS council to hide on Mustafar. Once they depart, the cyborg general takes his starfighter and leaves the rest of his army to keep the Jedi occupied.
Palpatine knows that Grievous had little love for the CIS. He only fights to kill Jedi, which makes him easy to control.
Without General Grievous leading them, the droid army stationed on Utapau falls into disarray when Obi-Wan attacks. As his forces march into the city, the droid resistance crumbles like a rotten stick. There were few places where the droids effectively held them back, but their sheer numbers ensured that the battle took several days.
But with each minor victory, Obi-Wan's concern grows. Something didn't seem right. This victory should be hard-fought, especially if Grievous is leading them. As they advance through the winding streets of Utapau's sinkhole city, he searches for a trap but fails to find the cyborg general anywhere.
As the last pockets of resistance are mopped up, Obi-Wan receives a disturbing report. A local supply depot had been attacked, its defenses overwhelmed, and its contents either destroyed or stolen. The attack was quick, brutal, and highly efficient, leading the Jedi to believe that Grievous was responsible.
By the time he arrives at the supply depot, he only finds a discarded lightsaber, one from the General's 'collection'. As Obi-Wan reports this, he hears about more attacks. Rebuilding efforts are sabotaged, supply depots raided, and senators assassinated. Each incident carries the same chilling detail: survivors speak of a cloaked figure wielding glowing swords.
No one can get a good look at the attacker, as the figure murders anyone who gets close
More troubling still are the reports that the mysterious figure isn't alone. Several clones join them in this attack.
These attacks affect the civilian population, causing anger and resentment against the Jedi to grow. Rumors spread like wildfire, suggesting that the Jedi are responsible for the attacks, stealing supplies meant for civilians to feed their war effort, turning the clones into private armies, and assassinating those who disagree with them.
Yet, amid the gloom, there is a glimmer of hope. News arrives from Coruscant that brings relief. Chancellor Palpatine announces that a high-ranking CIS officer has defected to the Republic. This defector has provided crucial intelligence about the CIS council's whereabouts.
In a holo transmission broadcast galaxy-wide, Palpatine addresses the Republic.
Palpatine: My fellow citizens. I bring you news of our struggle against the Confederacy. My contact has provided us with valuable information regarding the location of the CIS council. Plans are being made to deal with them once and for all.
But not all citizens are celebrating. Anakin hears of this development, but his mind is elsewhere, focusing on his mission to spy on Palpatine. The chancellor uses this opportunity to sway him to the dark side. Not only does he use the fear of Padmé dying to tempt him, but he also mentions the hypocrisy of the Jedi.
Palpatine: Anakin, I have received troubling reports from the Outer Rim. The civilians are growing hostile against the Jedi. They believe the Jedi are responsible for the recent attacks.
Anakin: That's impossible, Chancellor. The Jedi would never do such a thing.
Palpatine: I understand your loyalty to the Order, my boy. But people's perceptions are powerful. They see a cloaked figure wielding a lightsaber, and they jump to conclusions.
Obi-Wan: "Oh come on! You know what I quit, I aint fighting two cyborgs!"

What if General Grievous biggest rival during the clone wars wasn’t Obi Wan but another Kaleesh warrior who became a Jedi master prior to or only recently made a master during the clone wars?

Awesome story, truly love how it played out. I do think Anakin would have beaten Obi-Wan on his own, as the high ground was a one in a million scenario, but still enjoyed the ending.
What if the CIS *mass produced General Grevious* ?
Not cloning per se, but making droid versions of him using the data obtained from his computer when killing jedi. Even if they're only half as skilled, fighting ten N-K Necrosis units would make any jedi hesitant.
What if Palpatine told the senate he was Sidious when he was elected (not illegal by the time of the prequels)?
What if Padme didn’t trade Anakin for grievous when they were both captured on naboo
What if Anakin used force lightning in various moments throughout the clone wars?
What if Palpatine sensed vadar’s betrayal in return of the Jedi?
What if Gungi stayed with the bad batch?
What if Caleb joined the bad batch when his master died?
What if Caleb survived the fire on Lothal?
What if Ahsoka got to coruscant with maul before Mace windu left for the chancellors office?
What if Ezra found luke instead of obi wan on Tatooine?
What if Illum gave Anakin a red kyber crystal?
As we know darth vader was a natural engineer and could use mechaguru or whatever so what if he used skill to create nanobots to repair his lungs and burns while also making limbs that could conduct the force to make lightning. This could relate to inquisitor baris as she used nanobots in the bomb and he may remember nanobots and their uses. He could could also conduct experiments diguised as torture to fool sidious, learning to heal wounds, make force sensitive droids/limbs and using nano bots to manipulate mididclorians to strip or enhance the force in individuals.
What I was thinking was that he used nanobots to remove scar tissue especially around the lungs and he would be dipped in bacta or bacta would be applied this would allow him breath which means he can meditate more deeply. And for the limbs, it is possible to make material force sensitive and I was thinking he make limbs skeletal looking like in attack of the clones but would then cover the we either grafed flesh from his body or flesh made from his blood and other ingredients like perhaps kyber crystal this would make the force flow from him easier and perhaps with the sith alchemy in the limbs making his force lightning more powerful. Basically an uber vader who is perhaps stronger than full potential anakin.
More what ifs on Grievous please. He's my favorite. One idea: What if order 66 activated prematurely before Obi-Wan could defeat Grievous?

May I also suggest doing another two what if general grievous scenarios - one where he survives and joins the rebellion and; and another where he survives, somehow discovers that he was just being used and about to be casted away by Sidious, then goes into hiding and waits for the right time to return as the separatist General himself carefully plans his revenge, and then has the entire droid army reactivated out of the blue and declares war against both the empire & the rebellion during the events of the original trilogy?

What if padme was a Sith lord and she turned ahsoka to the Dark side
Really liked the story but i dont think grievous would just back stab Kenobi like that. Grievous is a honorable warrior atleast in his own mind.

What if both Ezra and kalkaska found Luke Skywalker on tatooine
What if anakin spirit in the world between worlds saved padme by making her a force ghost or new mother if the ones. She could make him help ben solo and others saying you got to help people who are suffering from your past actions.
What if anakin was piloting before attack of the clones and sensed ventress fall to the darkside as her master died and took his ship to the planet to investigate. Perhaps starting a romance as they are very similar in their stories.
Also what if ahsoka taught ben skywalker as she saw him as history repeating itself.

What if anakin went with kenobi to face maul and savage instead of adi gallia.

Or anakin became a healer either before or after his mother death could be related to his friendship with offee or alternatively what if he was trained by tra sa who taught windu and actually did not forbid attachment as shown by her relationship with tholme , they could become like a pseudo parents to anakin and train him away from the temple in azati martial arts and from trasa the living force as she is a plant lady so imagine anakin controlling plant life.
