Back when the DVDs of the PPVs were released, the WWE got permission to use (and technically make money off of) certain songs on the PPV which would be redistributed. A different agreement is made for TV as they TV typically isn't intended for re-release - the WWE would have to pay a shit ton for each song with each appearance in royalties. It's just not worth it. Those agreements carry forward since PPVs are being redistributed as per the original agreement. That's why WWE does so much stuff in-house so they can control for these sorts of things
If Maven ever returns to WWE please come back to this Theme, already legendary, like that dropkick when the hall of famer Undertaker put this guy over and he don't just put over anyone. He saw something in this guy. Be epic if he got a WWE title run he was very underrated.
