Clarification on Butterfly strategy investment amount: Few members trying to enter into butterfly strategy but broker is asking for higher margin around 75000. So don't take buy entey first if you have less than 75000 amount in your account otherwise you will not able to write call option and your position becomes one sided. If you check 8th July closing prem then there is 3.9 rupee profit. It means in any case whether NIFTY will be at 10000 or at 12000, your profit will be 3.9 and if market remain in range between 10500 to 10700 then there is high profit. And if NIFTY closes at 10600 on expiry then profit will be 103.9
Yeah it's really an awesome strategy...but I have one doubt we can exit this at any time or on expiry we have to exit...and exit all orders simultaneously..

There is no million dollar strategy here there are 100s of books that have 100s of strategies. The thing this guy does not tell is: probability of profit vs probability of loss. It is easy to construct a Risk Reward ratio of 1:1000 but the probability that you will win 1000 is very rare and probability that you will lose is almost certain. To Risk/Reward raito ka kya achar daloge?

But win ratio of this strategy is just 6%. that means for every 100 trades 94 trades goes out of that range makes you 6*94 = 564 loss. Please dont follow this strategy. historically vix used to be 12 -15% range most of the times. so if nifty is at 10,000 nifty moves at least 500 points on both sides.
if you can enter with such small debit like 6-8 Rs., your chances of profit will increase manifold, may be with 20 or 30 Rs. credit, and that is enough, I think. Entry is important. You need not wait for expiry.

Sir I want to ask one thing, can we do it other way around like sell two different calls of 10500 and 10700 and buy 2 calls of 10600 in our example. Then in that case we will always have positive net P/L. This value of Net P/L would become +6.23. Is my understanding correct. Please tell sir.
So if Nifty expires between 1500 to 10600 you will be in loss. If Nifty expires at 10600 then your 2 buy calls of 10600 lapses and also your sell call of 10700 will lapse but for your sell call of 10500 you have to pay difference of 10600-10500, that is 100 points. So beta, in this case you will be in loss of 100 points.

So if Nifty expires between 1500 to 10600 you will be in loss. If Nifty expires at 10600 then your 2 buy calls of 10600 lapses and also your sell call of 10700 will lapse but for your sell call of 10500 you have to pay difference of 10600-10500, that is 100 points. So beta, in this case you will be in loss of 100 points.
