Having been in the Marines back in the early 80's, of course I have my Filipina story :D
Stationed in Okinawa, my unit went to Subic Bay for a few months. Eventually met a pretty Filipina in a bar in Olongapo, like every other Marine in my unit. She was nice, and after seeing her in the bar a few times I took it a step farther and we hooked up. Shortly after, we made a deal- if I kept her stocked with groceries and such, she would keep me 'taken care of'. After a month or so of this, my young self (early 20's) started to think this might be better as a permanent arrangement- so I decided to ask her to marry me. I got a modest ring and went to her place. She wasn't there but got home a few minutes later, all out of breathe and terrified at seeing me. She said, "You have to go NOW!" I told her I didn't understand, but I had something I need to talk to her about- she was in a panic. "YOU have to GO!" I got her calmed down and she said some Navy ships were coming into port the next day- I already knew it, so no big deal because she was my girl and I was taking care of her. "No! You don't understand- my HUSBAND is on one of those ship!" She was already married to a US Navy sailor. SONOFABITCH! I packed my sea bag and headed down the street toward the Naval Base. A lot of other Marines were doing the same thing. I'd call across the street, "NAVY?" and the Marine on the other side would shake his head "Yeah, F U". Of course I wish I had known, but in the end no harm no foul, and I ended up with a good story to last the rest of my life. I often wonder, though, without any bitterness at all what happened to Sally and what she's doing now, 40 years later.
I have been in a LDR with a Philippina for a year now. I have sent her some support money but she has never asked. I always offer cuz I know she has very little. She is a cute simple province girl so I know anything I help her with is highly appreciated. She always thanks me and tells me how grateful she is. She never lets me forget that. She always makes time to chat and for video calls. She has even sent me a couple care packages with Philippine only goodies. I always wondered if she truly likes me. Listening to Irish has helped me understand my girl's words and actions. I can truly say my girl seems to really be into me due to her actions. Thank you for all your insight Irish! ❤

Hi Irish, I'm very old, and married for almost 60 years. To the same woman, 😁 Sometimes she likes me and sometimes she does not. She scolds me occasionally but tolerates me most of the time. Ignores me or hugs me from time to time. We have 4 daughters and 2 sons, so she liked me a lot at least 6 times. I don't have any answers for why this is. I just know that when I'm without her, I can't wait to get back with her, and she will tag along with me every chance she gets, I like that very much. I have no other place to be, and neither does she, so we will hang out together for the rest of our time. Paalam maganda.

How to know if she really likes you - Easy - Sleep with her in a King Size bed.
If she sleeps next to you and stays at arms length - bad sign.
If she sleeps close enough for you to touch - good sign.
If she sleeps with you entwined like an octopus - she really, really likes you.
I was seeing a girl I for several months here (she worked so only had 1 day off a week).
By the time we went to a hotel for our 1st overnight, we already had a strong attraction.
As we got into bed, she took one of the pillows, threw it on the floor, and asked if we could share a pillow. That night, and every night since, has been like sleeping with an octopus. Sometimes I wake up in the morning and feel like a pretzel - but it is all good. I had her quit her job and move in with me. We lived together for 2 years before getting married. I took her to the states a year later. We toggled between the PI and US over the years. She is a dual citizen now, so we can travel anywhere. We've been together 15 years now and live in Cebu.

Imagine the mothers came into the picture and machine-gunned some flaws of their off-spring while on video call and boom - we were language interpreters for the two parties. The girl says her mother likes me. My mother says she really likes the girl and she wants a grandchild. How do we know if the in-laws really like us? How do we know if our parents really approve or disapprove the "courtship"?

It’s simple guys, a Filipina likes you if you have money, she wants to marry you if you have a lot, especially if you are an old SIMP who will give her and her family money. Does she love you as a person ? No, if the money dries up or you get sick she’ll take off .

Its the safest and cheapest way to date not only Filipinas.

I am not a Filipino, but this is my answer: if she is not materialistic, she will like the attention, irrespective of she likes the gift or not. Otherwise, run! Your gift is a test.
