  • A background to Holzer Permaculture and the Krameterhof in Austria. I was lucky enough to visit there in 2018 and found it one of the most inspirational experiences in my life and has had lots of influence on what we are doing at Henbant.

This is fantastic. I'm dealing with a hillside in north Idaho that has a lot in common with the Krameterhof. Footage of the place is rare, as is detailed info, every little bit helps. Anything on how he goes about constructing his terraces is especially useful, the book is light on detail in that regard, probably due to translation difficulties. Thanks for sharing!

Really interesting 🙂 I've read one of his books and really interesting to hear you talk about it with an obviously slightly sceptical view point. It's very refreshing as there are a lot of videos that just gush about ideas. I think sepp probably is part of the permaculture school that is about low inputs and closed cycles. Having attempted some ideas/projects like this myself I can appreciate that it must take experience and careful consideration to make successful moves and plan for the introduction of animals in particular. I hope the farm is going well 🙂

As a Texan this beauty is frighteningly snakey. We clean out undergrowth to prevent dens of poisonous copperheads and rattlesnakes. Yet I'm convinced that planting this way could save us all - one community at a time. I'll just need a shotgun at hand 😂
