Watch this at 1.25 speed for proper tempo......if resurrected/reconstructed choreography such as this is performed at the sluggish, musically incorrect tempo heard here, it makes the choreography seem simpler than it actually is. The same thing happens when the Mariinsky performs "Awakening of Flora" - their preferred tempi are so slow that it drags the choreography down and makes it seem more overly simplistic. Also, one can hear that the orchestra dislikes playing at such tempi, as they play with professionalism but have no passion whatsoever.
Lovely. Yes, that's an overused term in ballet, yet it's so fitting for Renata Shakirova. Stretch Ribbon, thank you again for posting these variations. They very entertaining.
Shakirova has beautiful upper body movement phrasings; there's great energy flowing through to the arms and fingertips ❤😊. Thank you again to @ stretch ribbon for sharing 😊.
BRAVA!!! La SHAKIROVA is a shining example of the world great VAGANOVA school and its objectives. "The entire body must be alive dancing." I would love to see her eating an Antonovka apple in this variation!!!

Simple but made special by Renato. Always a joy to watch her ❤
