There is no ocean separating Asia from Africa; they are connected by land. Huge desert regions in the Middle East and North Africa would prevent most types of animals from migrating from Asia to Africa (or vice versa) though.
Tigers are found only in Asia because apart from geographical separation of continents, fossil records and genetic studies indicate that the ancestors of tigers originated in Asia and gradually diversified into different subspecies over millions of years. They also evolved there and adapted to diverse Asian habitats. Lions, on the other hand, had a wider historical range that included parts of Europe, Asia, and Africa. Over time, lions adapted to different environments in both Africa and Asia, allowing them to be found in both continents.
Not very convincing. Geographical boundaries. I accept. But if the Tiger once reached Africa, I am sure it would be able to catch prey on which to survive.
There's a word for tiger in my language and I'm African.... there are people who own game reserves and will change the narrative whenever
Interesting.
