We just got a harbor freight in my town this past winter. Finally made it in there last weekend. Love it. Cleanest and brightest harbor freight I've ever been in
What cleaning solution do you recommend for the ultrasonic cleaner, I have a hard time finding one that cleans good without turning aluminum carbs white.
The leak down tester and compression tester from Maddox good to buy I am need both and was going to buy both and I just starting out and just out of Small Engine Repair class…I follow you religiously and need all the help I can get
Well I guess I’m doing ok so far, Jeremy. I’ve got 4 out of those 5. Only one still on my list is the leakdown tester. (And more ratcheting wrenches to complete the set.) 👍🔧🧰

i put reg fuel in a glass jar then set carb in it.. then set in ultrasonic cleaner with water
If it turns white, that means your cleaning solution is acidic and it is etching the aluminum.
Try, simple green. It's what I use and seems to work well.
What certifications do I need to become a small engine mechanic?
Thanks for the tool tips! Do you. have videos showing how to use these tools? Especially the first two? Phillip Hall
