    It's a shame someone had to lose that match. Both of them were playing at such a high level. Thanks for sharing this video.

      Even though there is definitely some skillful tournament players out there, that very fact is likely owed to those 2 players right here on this video. In my humble opinion, Spredeman and Moore have influenced todays young players maybe more so than any other. You would be hard pressed to find 2 other players that are playing as well as these 2 are on a consistent basis. (And I stress the "on consistent basis" because they can be beaten. Just not very often and definitely not very easily.)

    • @TheAirheaded1
      @TheAirheaded1 6 лет назад +2

      I mean they definitely got good skills, but I was playing like this and same shots.......way back in the day, and we actually started the ball from putting it in the hole, any idea why they switched that?

    • @jeremybr2020
      @jeremybr2020 6 лет назад

      I don't know exactly how far back was "way back in the day", but if you were playing like these guys here, then you should of probably been playing the big tournaments. Because very few people are playing quite as good as these two. Spredeman's snake shot isn't overly special, though he was one of the first that started "walking" the ball back & forth. However, what Spredeman revolutionized was his far wall passing. As far I know I've never seen anyone who could pass like him. Though because of him, there are more people learning that style of 5 row. Ryan Moore, his goalie shooting is nothing short of phenomenal. No other pro can shoot quite as consistent as he can and no other goalie that I've seen can shoot as many types of shots from goal as he can. (And not to mention Ryan Moore is just as deadly from the front)
      I don't know the specific reason that they stopped serving the ball from the hole. I was just as perplexed as anyone when that happened. I know occasionally various tables seemed to serve the ball much differently. So maybe it was that inconsistency that made them change the rule.

      Well, way back means like 20+ years ago, and back in the day I've won a Table, many 1,000's of dollars and of course tons of sweatshirts and trophies the prize was not really that cool back then as I see today as well, but oh well....after watching these guys....damn sure makes me wanna play again, I wouldn't even need much practice to hang with both these guys, and good chance we'd be about even.

    • @jeremybr2020

      I know the feeling, (as far as wanting to play after watching them) Im also one of those "back in the day" people. Started playing in 94 and played my first World Championship in 95. (Got 7th out of over 125 teams in amateur doubles. Not to bad for my first one.) I still play every so often, though it has gotten a little depressing. I can no longer do my pull shot anywhere close to what I had been able to back then. Hell back then I could dead man in my sleep. lol Luckily I have a pretty large array of shots to choose from. Snake shot, pull kick, tick tack shots, sling shots (my personal favorite) .....and so on. I liked having the options. I do miss those early days. I live in the DFW Texas area and even though the tournament players are still numerous, we don't have near the amount of "weekend warrior" players like there was in the mid to late 90's. Back then I could go into a pool hall that had foosball and put 50 cents on a table (yeah, remember when they cost that??? lol) and play all night on just that.

    I thought a professional foosball table had only one keeper?

    • @Klos1neMN
      @Klos1neMN 5 лет назад +1

      European models have one goalie. The US tournament standard, Tornado, always has 3 men goalies instead of ramps.

    • @jeremybr2020
      @jeremybr2020 3 года назад +1

      I realize this is really late on the comment but just thought I would point out that there are other US tables that are finally on par with Tornado's quality such as the Warrior table, and those tables have the one goalie with ramps set up.

    • @jeremybr2020
      @jeremybr2020 6 лет назад +4

      I don't know either of them personally, but they have partnered up with each other in recent tournaments. So I would assume they like each other. At the very least, they have a healthy respect for one and other. I can guarantee this.....few things strike more fear into a doubles team than hearing that their next match would be against Spredeman and Moore. One of the best forwards of all time, partnered up with undoubtedly the best shooting goalie ever to play the game. {And a cold shiver travels down their spines as those words sink in} lol

    • @HelloIamClay
      @HelloIamClay 6 лет назад +1

      @jeremybr2020 They haven't played together outside of a random Canadian small tournament in several years.

    • @jeremybr2020
      @jeremybr2020 6 лет назад +2

      Clay Turney They also partnered up to play the European Tornado championships is 2013. More often than not they are the top 2 ranked pro masters, so you would think they would partner up more than they actually do.
      But as far as I know, they have a cordial relationship at the very least.

    • @HelloIamClay
      @HelloIamClay 6 лет назад +1

      Yeah, I'd say they're buddies. But I was just speaking to your statement about them playing in recent tournaments together. I wouldn't call 2013 recent, that's all I meant.
      And I'm pretty sure they'd be bored out of their minds if they paired up because nobody would really even give them a tough match. They'd just be too strong on the same side of the table.

    • @jeremybr2020
      @jeremybr2020 6 лет назад

      Clay Turney Recent.....Not recent......time in that context is all relative. lol Kidding. Honestly I wasn't paying that close of attention to the date on that video when I watched it a few weeks ago. So I'll admit, it was a bit of an assumption on my part.
      Funny thing is, I had that exact thought as I was sending my last message about how their partnering up may cause a drop in that particular events attendance. lol Before the tournament would even start, the other teams would just assume they are playing for 2nd on down.

      Sánchez 094 you mean he's the best now or just during this match? I think Spree is still a slightly stronger player overall, though Ryan has a huge advantage on the 2 bar.. Tony's 5 bar is a lot better and 3 is very slightly better. Probably a little better in transition as well.

    • @Klos1neMN
      @Klos1neMN 5 лет назад +4

      It's a Tornado T-3000, the US competition standard. The wingmen on the goalie actually keep the ball out of the deadspots. And rollovers are legal, the rod doesn't go beyond 360 degrees after it hits the ball.

    that is a spin shot illegal shot

    • @jeremybr2020
      @jeremybr2020 4 года назад +2

      This is World's. They have official table soccer refs literally right there at the table. If either of these players were performing an illegal shot, don't you think they would be saying something? Now I don't know if the rule has changed over the years, but as it stands now the rule from the ITSF rules (International Table Soccer Federation) on spinning is this ...........
      "Spinning of the rods is illegal. Spinning is defined as the rotation of any soccer figure more than 360 degrees before or more than 360° after striking the ball. In calculating the 360° you do not add the degrees spun prior to striking the ball to the degrees spun after striking the ball."
      So......no, they weren't spinning the rods and it was perfectly legal.
