How can you be so inconsistent on grading? It's like you're guessing the grade instead of really "looking" for the defects. Before looking at the graders notes on those 7.5ish grades try to determine what those defects are on your own first, then look at them.

Sometimes you miss things, I try my best but if I missed something than I'd have to check the notes. Most times it's something you can't see. Both of the lower books from this submission aren't something you can easily see.

@@DavidClark-vu3dw The Spider-Man 3 cgc 7.5 has "light stain top front cover" I can't visibly see it so I just have to believe that it can be seen on the interior of the front cover. I can see myself missing that.
The Spider-Man 2099 37 cgc 7.0 has "popped top staple" I'm assuming Wolverine graded that book with his Adamantium claws.... all jokes aside, maybe I missed that. It's possible I did it while pressing the book, I have never done that before so I highly doubt it. But it's possible.

Love those Mcfarlane spidey books. Congrats on the 9.8s on your submission. Hard to imagine how some of those books hit 7.5s. When i first got back into collecting I ended up buying a modern Liefeld variant X force book in a 7.5 for $15 shipped on Ebay. The seller obviously lost money betwern grading and shipping. That book looks like a 9.8. Its crazy how harsh they can be on a modern book versus a silver age in the same grade.

I had a similar experience with CGC. Not a satisfying experience but it did help me become a better grader. CGC can get it wrong. Don't lose faith in your ability to grade your own books.
