It's a sad day for the music industry. RIP ❤️ Tarsem Singh Saini Taz AKA Johnny Zee Stereo Nation, credited with being the pioneer of cross-cultural Asian fusion music, passed away peacefully at a hospital earlier this evening.
It's difficult to believe that dear Taz is no longer with us. Back in the 1990s, I grew up listening to this song on a cassette player. I still remember all of his song lyrics and the music he composed for people. While seeing his interviews, TV shows, and songs, I can't stop crying.
Total shock and sadness at losing someone a lot of us have grown up listening to, and someone who brought something different to the table!!
The ‘Back To My Roots’ EP has got to be one of the best U.K. Bhangra EPs ever released, and ‘Hun Taan Mein Nachna" is one of the most iconic songs from his debut album ‘Hit The Deck’ which released in "1989’, on the ‘Audiorec’ label.
Not just a singer, but also a music producer, Taz produced the music for Sahara’s - ‘Let Loose’ album, as well as Safri Bhaji’s ‘Bomb The Tumbi Remix’ album, amongst others.
One of the handful of U.K. Bhangra artists who truly made it big in Bollywood, and also carved a niche for himself worldwide.
A massive loss to the U.K. Bhangra industry and the Punjabi music industry in general 🙏🏽
My condolences go out to all his family, friends, & fans worldwide. 🙏 May his soul rest in peace.

I was 6 years old grooving to this song in 2006 a bhaiya was dancing onstage in ganesh chaturthi dance competition and suddenly a group of gang came attacked every one on ganesh pandal(some local gang war). I saw a guy from rival gang attacked a bhaiya wo was plastered and was sitting on a chair, he buried a metal rod(sabbal) in his fractured feet. Then my mom dad came and dragged me and my sister to our home in our home. Since then i cannot forget this awesome song. Now i sm 28 years old and planning to marry my love. I will groove on this song in my wedding and will update this comment till then wait. 😃

His music has been part of my childhood and still a big part of me today. I follow him on Instagram and wondered as to why his posts suddenly stopped. Little did I know he was sick. After watching this video, I then checked the comments section and found out about his passing. I couldn't believe it until I googled more about his passing. I always wished that some day I could meet him but I now know that will never happen. May his music live on and still play a huge part in all of our lives.

Love the expressive energetic dance moves by TAZ. Today's auto tune success success stories should learn learn from him. He deserves more success in Bollywood compared to the niche artists like Baadshah and Yo Yo Honey Singh because this guy is blessed with a great voice and can sing brilliantly. His songs are not repetitive either as he tries to provide his audience audience with different genres which is what I love about him since his blockbuster Pyaar ho gaya. A waste that music directors of that era didn't utilise his wife services as well as he could have have freshened stale soundtracks with his one offering. He feels the lyrics well and has a unique style. A powerhouse performer for a middle sized man.
