  • I visited the Cathedral this morning for the launch of the Monsters of the Sea exhibition.
After walking round and seeing every display, it’s definitely going to be something that your dinosaur-mad and shark-mad and whale-mad kiddies are going to love to see. The models are going to look so big to them and with the help of animatronics majority of the models are moving.
There’s quite a few different species to see which take up the area of the bottom of the Cathedral along with educational facts about each one. From a Livyaton Melville - named after Herman Melville the author of Moby Dick to Ammonite Gigantes which are 2 metres in size. You’ll find a Purussaurus which is a huge crocodile-like creature and a tame looking Plesiosaurus with its long neck.
They are great for taking pictures and selfies. The Cathedral has some workshops too. There’s an area where you can do some crafts and the ARU in Peterborough are doing some educational events which includes a VR experience in the technology department!!!
