Nice video! I wish I had viewed this before I purchased my system. Smart controllers are the way to go! I have a Hunter Hydrowise system that is similar but with some important differences. The Hunter system is made to be installed by an irrigation specialist/company. I'm not sure if you can even DIY it. The company can remotely log into it if I mess it up. I haven't figured out a way to upload pictures of my zones AND I can only choose the sprinkler type for a zone - no soil type or plant type. I would love it to be able to use my Davis Weather Station at my house for programming purposes, but it defaults to the NWS station in my town. Summer showers here are hit and miss so being able to use my weather station (which is on the net) would be ideal. I also use an app from Texas A&M Extension Service called "Water My Yard" to help use my irrigation system efficiently.
Thanks Mark!!! Appreciate the comment as always. I can see there being advantages to having a company do the install vs doing yourself and visa versa. I glad you enjoyed the video and always enjoy doing diy videos for the lawn care community. 👍🏻
