Looking from a distance I think they kind of saved each other. She was in a bad way. They just lost their home and everything they had accomplished. They had no where to go, she sprained her ankle and was unable to walk any further. Along comes this gentle, kind man and turns everyone’s lives around. Giving him purpose to his life taking care of the woman and her three children. And providing a place for them to live and the possibility to improve their lives.
