When you click the play button for the traffic, it starts the Ai for all loaded in cars besides the one currently selected. When another player then spawns his traffic and starts it, both games will be trying to control all cars besides the one they had selected when they hit the play button. For me, this causes a lot of lag and conflicting behavior of the other player's car because my Ai is constantly fighting for control but can't actually move it. This may have been solved with the latest update, haven't tried yet. Will update if solved On the BeamTraffic servers they are handling traffic quite differently, but they had to create their own mod to let the server handle loading and controlling traffic for each player. This results in much better framerates with multiple players and no fighting for control. A nice bonus is that you can use name tags again because the traffic won't get a name tag assigned to it. Then again, I prefer driving with all UI disabled, but with a hotkey to toggle it, it's a quick way to see where your driving buddy went if you got left behind
Do you have a video on how to make a beamng mp server? Or just know any good ones a friend and I can play on? Been trying to figure out how to set up the traffic and all that but realized it’s because we’re on public servers so we can change the settings I don’t think.
These servers you can setup traffic. I explained how in the video. If you want to host the server on your computer you need to download BeamMP server and there are quite a few videos out there for that.
Hey respawn rate im pretty sure is just telling you how fast you want them too respawn out of ur render distance.. making it seem as if there's more traffic then you set. all ik is when i set it up too 3 its nice to swerve in and out of traffic with Lol.
